Everyone knows that online games and digital assets in blockchain is a successful combination but for me, at my age, it was hard to find a game that I can play for fun and entertainment. None of the play2earn famous games attracted me, even @splinterlands, the most popular Hive dapp, here I tried @rabona (soccer simulator) until its end in 2022.
I returned to play chess, a game that I learned when I was a child, like millions of people that discovered the online platforms in pandemic times (New York Times: Chess Thrives Online Despite Pandemic, May 8th, 2020). Recently I discovered the Hivechess weekly tournaments organized by @stayoutoftherz and in the day before yesterday finally participated for the first time in the announced This Friday is Hivechess fun time - join and win 500 GLX! Otherwise not familiar with the Chess 960 pieces random distribution I really enjoyed it and had a lot of fun with lots of lost games but 2 surprise wins.
If you're interested, all participants must join The Blockchain Chess Team on Lichess. In The Chess Community the players share games reports and tips. I also found that the tournament has a Hall of Fame in the account @badge-646464 and a wallet in @chesspricepool to receive transfers and donations for prizes and rewards. To support the initiative, like the organizer, I also set to donate 30% of this post rewards.

I also play chess in other blockchains, Anichess by Animoca on Polygon and Chessio, a miniapp on Telegram supported TON. I already also played Chess Universe on Wombat app that rewards with EOS (thanks to this post Friday Night Chess Battle: Wine and chess ♟️🍷 from @vaipraonde) and Immortal Game, that was part of Immutable Games Ethereum (layer 2) until last year.
