Money is not everything to life

I'm glad to participate in this week @realtalk contest!

Can money replace happiness? Does money guarantee longevity? Can it buy you peace of mind? My answer is no.

Money can earn you respect and dignity. It brings fame and helps you achieve things in life with ease.

However, where is the place for quality relationships? If money is all we need and there are no relationships, then what is the meaning of life?

Your money will attract both the good and bad. No one wants to be friends with a poor man, but building the right relationships with people will bring value to what you have.

Money is good when you have it, and when you have more than enough, but many people believe that once they're rich and well off, that's the end. But boom! Here comes depression and anxiety, emotions you may have never experienced before.

The moment you feel you have it all, that's where the problem will start. Gradually, loneliness will set in and eat you up, especially when there's no one to talk to.

My mum always warned us while growing up; she would say, Money is a visitor. Once it comes, you embrace it with love and use it well because when it departs and nothing is left with you, then there's trouble.

Also, if money finishes and you have a place to hide, then there's a bigger problem.
Therefore, the right people bring value to money; using money for the right investment, right business, and so forth gives you more joy than just money alone. I didn't grow up in a wealthy family.

We were trained in a way that we appreciate and accept whatever we have. We are not trained to beg for help, but we work hard to make ends meet. We didn't make much money, but we are okay.

A Yoruba adage states that, "Eniyan laso," meaning "people are a shield." So, if you have money and lack quality relationships, then you have nothing because having good people around you is money.

Money is not everything, but the right relationships and love speak louder.
Imagine a wealthy man who is a loner; who will acknowledge him for being rich? Of course, no one.

Money brings people closer to you, but only those who want your money, not you. However, the right relationship with love and money gives you 100% happiness and peace of mind. Thanks for reading!
