Sometimes, a year seems to us like an eternity as such we set goals which may end up not being achieved. Our inability to achieve the set goals may make us feel like one who has lost a battle or makes us feel unhappy with ourselves.
So far for this year, I have had a number of successes from all the struggles that life has thrown on my path, I have also had my share of failure and inadequacy too. The beautiful thing about the setbacks I had this year is that I learnt from my mistakes and applying what I have learnt when I have had to retry often makes my journey easier.
I have been able to learn a few new things this year which I am really grateful for. One of the new things I learnt this year is learning to navigate hive. I was onboarded onto this platform this year and I can tell you for free that I have learnt and am still learning how to navigate, build and connect properly here.
Growth happens not only when we attend an institution of learning but also when we try something new. Talking about growth, I added a year in the tenth month of this year but apart from growth in terms of age, I have also grown to learn how to accommodate people. After the passing of my mum in-law early this year, I had to adopt one of her dependents. I count this as growth because I have never had the opportunity to share my space with other people apart from my immediate family ( husband and children)in my years of being married.
So far, I have faced the struggles of learning to co-habitat, learning from my mistakes but most importantly, I have come to realize that since there is another year after this, there is another opportunity to achieve what seems unachievable in this year. I look forward to the holidays which usher this year away with the hope of enjoying every bit of it with family and friends while creating beautiful memories for the future.

You are on point here @ellizy. Many of us see failure as the final bus stop, but for me I see failure as an opportunity to have learnt many more things because life in itself is full of experiences.
What we could not achieve among set out goals are not because we did not try harder, so we need to be thankful 🥲 for the ones we succeeded on.
