It is another day to explore newbies and to import them to hive. It is a journey we all should embark on because we need more active people to join hive ecosystem.
Therefore, yesterday, the 8th day of December 2025, I went to 7up junction Aba with my bike to register a newbie who is very much eager to join hive. I left house by 11:30am. The journey suppose to take me about 30 minutes but unfortunately, my bike spoiled along the way. I tried my possible best to restart the bike, yet, I couldn't. I then pushed the bike down to a nearby mechanic. Personally, I suspected that maybe, the plug have spoil. I tried pulling out the plug but it was too hot. So, I left the motorcycle there and continued my journey.
Reaching our designated venue, the newbie was already seated waiting for my arrival. She felt pity for me after narrating my ordeal. So I rested for a while before proceeding with her registration.
I processed her registration using spendhbd portal. I had issues while processing her registration because the website was upgraded and ever since the website upgrade, I haven't make use of it. So it was a bit hard and confusing to me. But through the help of a friend via phone calls, I was able to process the registration/sign up successfully. I paid 3 hive for her registration and how happy she became thereafter gave me joy.

As soon as she is done with her registration, I thought her how to post on waves and snaps. Yes, as a newbie, she need to start from creche, which is micro-blogging before upgrading to primary which is longform content. Check out her first post on waves.

I couldn't set up her profile immediately because it was late. So we scheduled to meet again for mentorship. Her training and mentorship will be both online and offline. She asked series of questions like:
- How do I like (upvoted) post?
- How do I post inside communities?
- How do I know when people liked my post?
- How do I know when I have earn money from the platform?
There are many other questions asked which I gave well detailed answers to each.
I left the venue by 6.00pm. But before I could amend up my motorcycle back home, it was around 8:00pm. Nevertheless, irrespective of my ordeal with my bike, I am happy because I won a soul for hive yesterday. She promised to be faithful and obedient to hive ecosystem rules and regulations. Lets watch her and see.
