The theme for this week is guns guns guns, share a manga that involves a lot of guns even if guns aren't the plot point.

Sample: Witch Hunter where the protagonist is named "Tasha Godspell", it's a manga about witch hunting duh, but the protagonist's key weapon of choice is using guns that fire magic bullets.

NOTICE:
I've set the rewards for this post @commentrewarder and it waits for 3 days for the liquid rewards. I'll be rewarding some HSBI units from now on too.

Mechanics:

  1. Entry can either be a comment under this post.
  2. Reblogs or upvotes are appreciated but not necessary. Just comment the recommendation or make a post about the manga, that'd be fine.
  3. It doesn't necessarily have to be a manga, it can be a manhwa or manhua.
  4. If you already made a post about your recommendation, let's say a manga review posted months to years ago, drop it here as an entry.
  5. You can do multiple entries in the comments or post but bear in mind that if you shill me a bucket list of titles, I'd probably ignore it.

As soon as I read "Guns guns guns" I immediately thought of Balalaika, Revy and Roberta :D.

I choose Black Lagoon. Unfortunately, we probably won't get the ending of this manga, but if you're looking for an intense, well-written, abstract and brutal story - this is something for you. An additional aspect is beautiful women with bitchy eyes.

The plot tells about a modern pirate city and its inhabitants. The citizens of Roanapur are a collection of mafia, secret agents, yakuza, triad, ex-KGB military and other organizations that do bad things in our world. They engage in murder, rape, theft, trade and smuggling of goods.

The great advantage of the plot is the lines. Now I can't find confirmation of this information, but apparently the author draws all weapons very faithfully. And since there are more shootings than fillers in Naruto series 1, there are a lot of them.

What's more, it's absurd. We have a full cross-section from cute child murderers to the fucking Terminator that everyone runs away from to avoid being massacred (best of all, it's a sweet maid).

And the plot. This wouldn't be such a good series if it was just a comedy. To show the contrast, we have brutal scenes in which the hero or heroine has to exert their brain at 100%. Why? Because they are at risk of death and if they make the slightest mistake, they will have water leaking from the back of their necks when drinking water. It's a pity that we will never get a continuation of this manga ;(.

When I read the word gun, Ms. Tao immediately came to my mind, but I've already recommended Gokurakugai before, so this time I'll recommend the second one that came to my mind and it's Killer Peter. You probably have heard it because I think it's pretty famous (or not? It bombarded my feed lately so I couldn't help but check it out, and it turned out really good!) and the hype was not overrated because it's so nice. The MC uses guns, but honestly he doesn't have a main weapon because he can basically use anything for killing. The action scenes look really cool and the plot is definitely intriguing, so I didn't hesitate and read it immediately and I'm halfway through it now! It's still ongoing so I'm slowing down (a little hshs) for now.

Ahh.. it's definitely Banana Fish... The manga and anime version made me depressed, but I sure would love to watch or read it again. I miss Ash and Eiji... I cried buckets reading and watching this story...

I know the central point is guns, but I was mulling over a good plot twist for the dynamic when a question came to me.

Does a katana wreathed in flames count as a firearm or is it still a bladed weapon?

Mechanically classified as a gun when it requires the use of ammunition / projectiles with the aim to produce intentional injury or damage.
