One of the characters that I considered should die if or if was Reiner from Shingeki no Kyojin, his actions, attitudes and performance led me to expect his death for a long time, but at the end of the story he didn't die and ended up becoming one of the heroes of humanity, and “redeemed” so to speak. Well, something like that is Shirou Emiya, the protagonist of Fate Stay Night.
Of course, the context is totally different, but Shirou is one of those characters that makes you look forward to seeing his death. Imagine, if a heroine like Sailor Moon's Serena appeared in front of you and for reasons of fate she becomes your guardian in a war between heroes, but at the moment of battle you don't want her to fight and you want to defend her even if you lose your life.
Well, that naivety is what Shirou shows us by having Saber in front of him, who is Saber? Nothing more and nothing less than a hero who represents King Arthur and possesses the mighty sword Excalibur as his main weapon.

This is the context offered by the spectacular novel Fate Stay Night developed by the Type-Moon studio, but the naivety in its main character is a bit out of place, and in many occasions he doesn't die because of his hero (Servant) but the consequences that his actions generate are really childish dangers.
Even so, the studio made an excellent development in this character, and he ends up becoming a hero, just like Reiner in Shingeki no kyojin, but it is undoubtedly that sometimes it was better to see him die, and if you have seen the series you might agree with me.

Now, talking about Fate Stay Night as such, it is a complete marvel, in fact it has one of the most excellent characters in the history of anime like Saber, and its plot is unique. Besides that it is a classic, with quite detailed action scenes, which for the date of broadcast were very well developed, and to this day remains the best installment of all the “sequels” that have been released so far.
It really is a series worth enjoying, probably many here have seen it, but for those who have not, I highly recommend it, it has no waste, since from beginning to end it is very original, and if you read the manga even better.
