Cuando de robots se trata, no hay uno más icónico que Mazinger Z. Muchos de nosotros crecimos viendo capitulo a capitulo las aventuras Koji, Sayaka y Boss, como intentaban proteger el mundo de las acechanzas del Dr Hell, Baron Ashura y compañía, sin embargo lo que parecía capitulo a capitulo con puras victorias fue dando paso a una historia más profunda y emocionante.
Pensar que Mazinger seria destruido, que necesitaría ayuda de otro robot para superar las fuerzas del mal jamás pasaba por nuestra mente, pero a medida que los enemigos se fueron fortaleciendo y aumentando en número, fue una realidad que alcanzo las pantallas, y para sorpresa de todos, ya no era un anime para niños, sino que el drama y los ideales cobraban mucho peso.
Recuerdo cuando entro Great Mazinger, quede impactado, era muy parecido a Mazinger Z, pero con ligeras diferencias en su diseño y en su poder, además era pilotado por un tipo totalmente diferente a Koji en cuanto a carácter y fortaleza, me gustó mucho como Tetsuya tomaba las riendas de este espectacular robot que también luchaba por la justicia.
When it comes to robots, there is no more iconic robot than Mazinger Z. Many of us grew up watching chapter by chapter the adventures of Koji, Sayaka and Boss, as they tried to protect the world from the lurks of Dr. Hell, Baron Ashura and company, however what seemed like chapter by chapter with pure victories gave way to a deeper and more exciting story.
The thought that Mazinger would be destroyed, that he would need the help of another robot to overcome the forces of evil never crossed our minds, but as the enemies grew stronger and increased in number, it was a reality that reached the screens, and to everyone's surprise, it was no longer an anime for children, but the drama and ideals gained a lot of weight.
I remember when Great Mazinger came in, I was shocked, it was very similar to Mazinger Z, but with slight differences in its design and power, it was also piloted by a guy totally different from Koji in terms of character and strength, I really liked how Tetsuya took the reins of this spectacular robot that also fought for justice.

Pero todo eso estaba muy lejos de terminar, pues su creador y excelente mangaka Go Nagai tenía un as bajo la manga, el cual alcanzaría el clímax, y me atrevo a decir que es una de las historias mejor realizadas, ya que tiene un inicio, un buen desarrollo, y nos eleva a un final impresionante.
Acá es donde aparece el poderoso e invencible Mazinkaiser, un robot bastante diferente a sus antecesores en todos los sentidos. Cuando las fuerzas Mikene invadieron y trajeron muertes importantes a personajes del universo de Mazinger, realmente no había ninguna esperanza. Koji había perdido a Mazinger Z y ahora era controlado por el enemigo, Great Mazinger no era suficiente, y las fuerzas aliadas, la “armada Mazinger” solo vio el fin y la destrucción.
But all that was far from over, because its creator and excellent mangaka Go Nagai had an ace up his sleeve, which would reach the climax, and I dare to say that it is one of the best realized stories, since it has a beginning, a good development, and elevates us to an impressive ending.
This is where the powerful and invincible Mazinkaiser appears, a robot quite different from his predecessors in every way. When the Mikene forces invaded and brought major deaths to characters in the Mazinger universe, there was really no hope. Koji had lost Mazinger Z and was now controlled by the enemy, Great Mazinger was not enough, and the allied forces, the “Mazinger armada” only saw the end and destruction.

Realmente me gusto como se estaba desarrollando todo, sin embargo, lo mejor llego, y Go Nagai revelo el as, Mazinkaiser entra en acción y lo cambia todo, literalmente, una vez hace su aparición y Koji domina su tremendo poder, ninguna fuerza del mal tiene oportunidad alguna, y este es el clímax de toda la historia de Mazinger.
El robot definitivo ha llegado, y con ello destruye a todos los enemigos, uno a uno van muriendo, hasta que no queda ninguno. Así presenciamos el final de una historia exitosa. Realmente no viene nada bueno después, por lo menos nada que sea canónico. Mazinkaiser SLK es una “cagada” por no decir una palabra peor, lo bueno es que nada tiene que ver con el original, así que no vale la pena mencionarlo mucho.
Pienso que esta historia, es un ejemplo de cómo se puede alcanzar el éxito en el mundo del manga y el anime. Claro está que hay grandes robots aparte de Mazinger, pero al final de cuentas ninguno supera la calidad de este último, por eso me atrevo a decir que es el más icónico, y aplaudo al maestro Go Nagai por darnos una de las historias de robots más impresionantes y mejor desarrollada de todos los tiempos.
I really liked how everything was developing, however, the best came, and Go Nagai revealed the ace, Mazinkaiser comes into action and changes everything, literally, once he makes his appearance and Koji dominates his tremendous power, no evil force has any chance, and this is the climax of the whole story of Mazinger.
The ultimate robot has arrived, and with it he destroys all the enemies, one by one they die, until there are none left. Thus we witness the end of a successful story. Nothing good really comes after that, at least nothing that is canonical. Mazinkaiser SLK is a “crap” for not saying a worse word, the good thing is that it has nothing to do with the original, so it is not worth mentioning it much.
I think this story is an example of how you can achieve success in the world of manga and anime. Of course there are great robots other than Mazinger, but at the end of the day none surpasses the quality of the latter, that's why I dare say it's the most iconic, and I applaud master Go Nagai for giving us one of the most impressive and best developed robot stories of all time.

Oyeeee, que recuerdos, es una de las series de mi infancia. Apenas tengo 21 años, pero prácticamente crecí viendo Mazinger Z y sí, sí fue muy épico cuando apareció el gran Mazinger aunque el cambio de protagonista me hizo mucho ruido igual seguía gustandome.
Recuerdo una vez estar enfermo y quedarme en casa todo el día viendo esto, de mis series clásicas favoritas. Saludos!! : )
Que bueno amigo, espero hayas visto las de Mazinkaiser, son las que constituyen el final de la historia original.
A mi inicialmente no me gustaba Tetsuya porque estaba encariñado con Koji jaja, ademas uno no estaba acostumbrado a esos cambios de personajes principales, sin embargo entendi luego que serian un duo de pilotos Z y se me paso todo jaja.
