I've been talking about the Jujutsu Kaisen sequel for a while now, and I think after five chapters, we can clearly say that this new take on Gege Akutami's franchise is going to be very interesting. Not only does it introduce new dynamics, but we also get the chance to explore the world of Jujutsu Kaisen a little more. Sorcerers
One thing that left me somewhat intrigued about the season finale of the original series was that we didn't have much time to explore much about the world of sorcery. It all ended with the arrival of its cradle. I think much of what was explored in those last chapters wasn't fully resolved. So I think this spin-off aims to return to those questions, whether to give them a new approach or perhaps also try to Answer it
And we have the perfect characters to do it since we don't stray too far from the main cast of the saga. Instead, we have the opportunity to see the adventures of the grandchildren of one of the best sorcerers from that first part. This is a bit of a spoiler, but it's the main premise of the Story
Tsurugi and Yukka are the main characters and are the grandchildren of Yuta and Maki, so we have a pretty interesting start with them, but even more so with the big revelation in those first chapters: that Earth is being visited by aliens who also possess cursed powers and may possess cursed techniques.
I'd already shared my thoughts on this move, and it was that it made my stomach churn quite a bit to see aliens in a series. Consolidated, but these first chapters have done a great job of lowering expectations a bit and focusing much more on the sorcerers' daily occurrences, i.e., the missions and the curses or evil sorcerers they may encounter.
Also, the relationship between the two brothers, which I think will be a strong point of this entire spin-off, is also introduced to a third sorcerer, Maru, who coincidentally is part of the aliens, but who has presented some interesting techniques in recent chapters.
The point is that the author knows very well how to subvert expectations. What seems like it will be an alien invasion ends up being a quest for coexistence between aliens and humans, and a host of external agents trying to disturb that peace and want a war.
So the approach they're taking is interesting, and I think these first chapters, where we're only exploring the surface of the sorcerers, give me a lot of confidence that the manga isn't going to be ruined, at least not for now. and that the foundations of everything Gege Akutami created in his first work still stand.
This is a somewhat superficial review because we only have a few volumes of the manga, but I quite liked what I've read. I especially liked that they didn't just introduce the aliens right away, but instead took charge of developing them and letting us understand the conflict and motivations of each of the characters. characters

He venido hablando de la secuela de jujutsu kaisen por un tiempo ya y creo que después de cinco capítulos podemos decir con claridad que sí va a estar muy interesante todo lo que tenga para ofrecer esta nueva visión de la franquicia de Gege Akutami, no solo pone sobre la mesa nuevas dinámicas sino que tenemos la posibilidad de explorar un poco más del mundo de hechiceros
Cosa que me dejó algo intrigado el final de temporada de la serie original fue que no tuvimos demasiado tiempo para explorar mucho sobre el mundo de la hechicería, todo terminó con la llegada de su cuna y creo que mucho de lo que se exploró en esos últimos capítulos no se llegó a resolver del todo por lo que creo que este spin off tiene como objetivo volver a esas pregunta si darles un nuevo enfoque o quizás tratar también de responderlo
Y tenemos a los personajes perfectos para hacerlo ya que no nos despegamos demasiado de el elenco personajes principales de la saga sino qué tenemos la posibilidad de ver las andanzas de los nietos de uno de los mejores hechiceros de esa primera parte, esto es un poco spoiler pero es la premisa principal de la historia
Tsurugi y Yukka son los personajes principales y son los nietos de Yuta y Maki por lo que tenemos un comienzo bastante interesante con ellos pero más aún lo tenemos con la gran revelación de esos primeros capítulos Y es que la tierra está siendo visitada por alienígenas que también poseen poder maldito y pueden poseer técnicas malditas
Ya había dicho mis pensamientos sobre esta movida y era que me revolvía bastante el estómago ver a aliens en una saga consolidada pero estos primeros capítulos se han encargado muy bien de bajar un poco las expectativas y enfocarse mucho más en las ocurrencias diarias de los hechiceros, es decir en las misiones y en las maldiciones o hechiceros malvados que se puedan encontrar
Además también en la relación que tienen los dos hermanos que creo que va a ser un punto fuerte de todo este spin off, pero también nos presentan a un tercer hechicero, Maru, qué casualmente será parte de los aliens pero que en capítulos recientes sí que ha presentado algunas interesantes técnicas
Que la cuestión es que el autor sabe muy bien como subvertir las expectativas, lo que parece que será una invasión alienígena termina siendo una búsqueda por coexistir entre los aliens y los humanos y un sinfín de agentes externos que intentan perturbar esa Paz y quieren que haya una guerra
Así que es interesante el enfoque que le están dando y creo que estos primeros capítulos en donde solo estamos explorando la parte superficial de los hechiceros me da bastante confianza de que el manga no va a ser arruinado al menos no por ahora, y que las bases de todo lo que Gege Akutami ha creado en su primera obra sigue en pie
Esta es una crítica un poco superficial porque solo tenemos algunos tomos del manga pero lo que me he leído me ha gustado bastante y me ha gustado sobre todo que no han metido a los aliens a la primera sino que se están encargando de desarrollarlos y de que entendamos nosotros el conflicto y las motivaciones de cada uno de los personajes
Muy interesante estoy de acuerdo que por ahora lo que va de manga se mantiene bastante bien
Yo espero con mucha emoción la tercera temporada. Vi el trailer y me enganchó de nuevo. Valdrá la pena la espera. Saludos!
