GTO: Great teacher Onizuka
Es un spin-off del manga Shounan Jun'ai Gumi de Tōru Fuji. Fue adaptado al anime por el estudio pierrot y emitido por primera vez el 30 junio de 1999, con una duración de 43 episodios.
It is a spin-off of the manga Shounan Jun'ai Gumi by Tōru Fuji. It was adapted to anime by the pierrot studio and first aired on June 30, 1999, with a duration of 43 episodes.
El anime trata de las vivencias de Eikichi Onizuka, un hombre que cuando jóven fue un delincuente reconocido que junto Ryuji Danma formaba parte del dúo "OniBaku" y ahora de adulto resulta que quiere ser profesor. Esto, por supuesto, para ligarse a las chicas de último año. Sí, una sinópsis que ya de por sí se escucha graciosa.
Comienza con Onizuka llendo a su primera práctica profesional. Le tocó al grupo más problemático posible, los cuales intentan chantajearlo para quitarle un suma grande de dinero. A lo que Onizuka los embosca con una pandilla de cientos de delincuentes y los tortura como venganza... Al otro día al llegar y esperar lo peor (ser despedido) resulta que los estudiantes ahora lo respetan y admiran por lo que así consigue su licencia como profesor.
The anime is about the experiences of Eikichi Onizuka, a man who as a young man was a notorious delinquent who together with Ryuji Danma was part of the duo "OniBaku" and now as an adult he wants to be a teacher. This, of course, to pick up senior girls. Yes, a synopsis that already sounds funny in itself.
It starts with Onizuka going to his first internship. He's been assigned to the most troublesome group possible, who try to blackmail him out of a large sum of money. To which Onizuka ambushes them with a gang of hundreds of criminals and tortures them as revenge... The next day when he arrives and expects the worst (being fired) it turns out that the students now respect and admire him so he gets his license as a teacher.
El anime omite el motivo que lo convence a convertirse en profesor por la misma razón por la que durante el desarrollo de la serie se eliminan o suavizan diferentes situaciones que es posible ver solo en el manga. Esto debido a la censura ya que algunas escenas se consideraron inapropiadas para la TV.
The anime omits the reason that convinces him to become a teacher for the same reason that during the development of the series different situations that are possible to see only in the manga are eliminated or softened. This is due to censorship as some scenes were considered inappropriate for TV.
A partir de ese momento Onizuka, a pesar de no tener los conocimientos necesarios para ser profesor consigue entrar en la escuela privada Seirin Gakuen gracias a una llave de lucha con la que deja inconsciente al subdirector de la escuela (Hiroshi Uchiyamada) por llamar basura a sus alumnos. La directora (Ryōko Sakurai), que estaba viendo a escondidas la escena, decide contratar a Onizuka como profesor por su capacidad de llegar a los alumnos y de hacer entrar en razón a la gente (un poco violenta), con la condición de trasladarse a vivir en la escuela y ser el profesor de la sección más problemática e incluso peligrosa del colegio, que es responsable del retiro y jubilación de un gran número de profesores.

Y creo que eso es lo destacable de este anime, el ver cómo durante el transcurso de los capítulos va convirtiendo a todos los alumnos de querer hacer lo imposible para que lo echen o que este renuncie a querer apoyarlo incondicionalmente y esto de las formas más absurda y menos convencional posible, simplemente hilarante.
During the story he will have to win over the students at the new high school where he works, as they try to sabotage him as a teacher. And I think that's the highlight of this anime, to see how during the course of the chapters he turns all the students from wanting to do the impossible to get him fired or quit to wanting to support him unconditionally and this in the most absurd and unconventional ways possible, just hilarious.
Los personajes van desde Onizuka (el protagonista) posiblemente uno de los personajes más graciosos del anime. Es el típico torpe con un buen corazón; el sub director (Uchiyamada) que es el típico sujeto estricto que siempre desprecia a los que no son como él y siempre intenta que despidan a Onizuka y termina undiéndose más así mismo en el proceso (de las situaciones más graciosas del anime); la querida fuyutski la cual es el interés amoroso de Onizuka y la cual sinceramente quedó algo plana en personalidad, pero le añade algo de variedad al cast de personajes; hasta los estudiantes de los cuales los principales tienen su propio arco. Comenzando por Noboru Yoshikawa, Anko Uehara, Yoshito Kikuchi, Kunio Murai, Tomoko Nomura, Urumi Kanzaki y Miyabi Aizawa.
The characters range from Onizuka (the main character) possibly one of the funniest characters in the anime. He is the typical clumsy guy with a good heart; the vice principal (Uchiyamada) who is the typical strict guy who always looks down on those who are not like him and always tries to get Onizuka fired and ends up smearing himself more in the process (one of the funniest situations in the anime); the beloved fuyutski who is Onizuka's love interest and who honestly came off as a bit flat in personality, but adds some variety to the cast of characters; to the students of which the main ones have their own arc. Starting with Noboru Yoshikawa, Anko Uehara, Yoshito Kikuchi, Kunio Murai, Tomoko Nomura, Urumi Kanzaki and Miyabi Aizawa.
Cada arco tiene sus diferencias y no fueron igual de buenos. Unos de mis favoritos es el de Kanzaki Urumi ya que es una de las personajes que más le costó darle una lección debido a lo astuta que era (ya que era una genio) y además de que pasan varias de las situaciones más graciosas de todo el anime en ese arco.
Each arc has its differences and they were not equally good. One of my favorites is Kanzaki Urumi's, since she is one of the characters who had the hardest time teaching him a lesson because of how cunning she was (since she was a genius) and also because some of the funniest situations of the whole anime happen in that arc.
Quizás lo único "malo" es que el anime plantea problemas serios que se resuelven de manera irrealista y algo anti-climática como el caso del arco Noboru Yoshikawa y Anko Uehara. Ya que el modo como este chico bulleado decide exponerse para ayudar el profe no fue nada creíble. Pero bueno, no debería ser TAN malo siempre que lo tomemos todo como lo que es, un anime de comedia.
Perhaps the only "bad" thing is that the anime poses serious problems that are resolved in an unrealistic and somewhat anti-climactic way, as in the case of the Noboru Yoshikawa and Anko Uehara arc. Since the way this bullied guy decides to expose himself to help the teacher was not believable at all. But hey, it shouldn't be THAT bad as long as we take everything for what it is, a comedy anime.
Otro problema notable es el final en el último arco del anime, el arco de Miyabi Aizawa. Ya que tomaron un arco que evidentemente debió ser más largo y lo condensaron todo en un corto lapso y se sintió raro y algo forzado su final. Su final sin duda se sintió carente base y desarrollo.
Another notable problem is the ending in the last arc of the anime, the Miyabi Aizawa arc. Since they took an arc that evidently should have been longer and condensed it all into a short span and it felt weird and somewhat forced its ending. Its ending undoubtedly felt lacking in basis and development.
A pesar de lo anterior es uno de mis animes preferidos y uno de los más graciosos que he visto y por eso lo recomiendo a todo el mundo, pero especialmente aquellas personas que estén buscando ver algo clásico y gracioso. Una de las mejores opciones para ver es Great Teacher Onizuka.
Despite the above it is one of my favorite anime and one of the funniest I've seen and that's why I recommend it to everyone, but especially those people who are looking to watch something classic and funny. One of the best options to watch is Great Teacher Onizuka.
