Hello everyone I am fancyice this is my first time in the anime realm. I hope I do well. I'll be discussing about demonslayer so sit back and enjoy thanks.
Tanjiro Kamado is a young man who lives with mother and siblings in the secluded mountains somewhere in Japan. As the eldest child of the family, Tanjiro is responsible for providing the needs of the family since the death of his father due to a fatal illness. One day after running his usual errands, he comes back home to meet his entire family dead killed by a demon no less except for his younger sister Nezuko who was turned into a demon. But before he could even grief his heart out, he is attacked by another demon hungry for blood. Tanjiro fights off the demon and is able to kill it thanks to the rays from sunlight - Their undisputed weakness.
While he is still mourning from everything he is approached by a mysterious man who intends on killing his sister as she is already a demon. Tanjiro tells him Nezuko still has her humanity and he shouldn't kill but he refuses. The man who is later revealed to be a demonslayer named Giyu, moves in to eliminate Nezuko, he knocks down Tanjiro but before he could proceed, Nezuko rushed in to protect her brother something no demon has ever done.
Shocked by this Giyu refers Tanjiro to Sakonji Urokodaki for training so he can prepare for the difficult journey ahead.
The training is no walk in the park and after that Tanjiro has to pass a selection exam to become a member of the demon slayers corps. Tanjiro aces the exam despite how difficult it was. He is given a Nichirin sword (a blade made out of materials that can kill demons), clothes with the demonslayer logo signifying he is now a member before he heads back to meet with his master and sister.
Since Nezuko is unable to move during the day as she is now a demon and is vulnerable to sunlight, a box is crafted for her to stay in during lights up. With his sister safely tucked inside the box, Tanjiro leaves his master in search of a cure and retribution for the demon responsible for the death of his family. He heads into the city where he meets a Tamayo, a demon doctor with her humanity still in tact after refusing to kill humans.
She tells Tanjiro that the leader of the demons is called Muzan Kibutsuji and she once worked for him until she was able to escape his control. Tamayo also tells Tanjiro that since he is searching for a cure, he needs to get blood samples from top ranking demons known as the twelve kizuki. While they are still communicating, they are attacked by two demons but Tanjiro is able to defeat them both with help from Nezuko. He bids Tamayo goodbye promising to provide the necessary ingredients for the cure.
Now that Tanjiro is officially a demonslayer, he is given missions where is supposed to rescue people from unnatural occasions usually demon attacks. It is one of these missions he befriends two other young players like himself- Zenitsu the crybaby who is only able to fight when he is asleep and Inosuke the loud fighter with a boar mask.
Together the trio and Nezuko battle demons together as they train to get stronger just so they can overcome obstacles. Tanjiro is still on his journey to get a cure for his sister and put a stop to the tyranny of Muzan and his demons once and for all.
The anime debuted in 2019 and since then has gained worldwide recognition achieving numerous awards due its incredible animation quality thanks to ufotable studios. A lot of anime watchers believe that the series is only able to get this much level of popularity because of the animation standard not the story itself as the storytelling is mediocre at best. Well I won't say they are wrong as that's their own opinion, however personally, the anime is very captivating- peak humans killing super powered demons while searching for a cure.
I have always been a fan of dark fantasy and this falls directly into that category. Although plot armor is very much noticeable in the series, it was done this way to keep our heroes alive and relevant. Overall I give it an 8.5 as it has that rewatch flare most animes lack.

I am not a big fan of anime series, but I must admit that this is one that I do like, it is very creative and has some depth in some episodes.
