Blood of Zeus Review

As you may know by now Greece is in a state of another lockdown! All the experts keep telling us, is to stay home in order to stay healthy and prevent the mass spreading of the virus.

As a Greek citizen and citizen of the world who cares about others i am doing my part saving the day and the world. They should built me a statue or something! My weapons in achieving that are:

    Tv shows & Movies
    Anime
    Plenty of food
    Gaming
    Hive & Leo

Although we are screwed in terms of the pandemic, 2020 was actually pretty good as far as it concerns anime ,movies and shows. In fact you can check in the post i made 5 days ago some good ongoing series and animation i am currently watching (and those are not even half of what i am watching)

Let's start reviewing Blood of Zeus now

Generic Info

Blood of Zeus is a Netflix animated series that revolves around ancient Greece and is of mature audience! The creators of this animation are Charley & Vlas Parlapanides who in case that you didn't get it from the surname are Greeks!

The studio behind it is the well known Powerhouse Animation which brought the one and only Castlevania (that's why in case you watched it the animation looks so similar!). It released at 27 October 2020 and it consists of 8 episodes.

Plot

The story revolves around ancient Greece and its mythology were Gods fought Titans and then Giants and somehow "sealed them" somewhere! But something happened and someone whos name we learn later as Seraphim manages to find one of the sealed giants, eat gis meat and become a demon. To be more precise the demon leader who builds and army of demons and seek revenge!

Everything seems to run smoothly in the mortal world and we introduced to a small village in which a young guy named Heron lives. Heron lives with his mother, they are quite poor and nobody wants them around but Elias an old companionate guy.

Soon the Demons are attacking the village killing mostly everyone and it is soon revealed that Heron was the son of Zeus who has taken the form of Elias in order to protect them. Then Hera comes in play seeking revenge of Zeus who cheated on her and many things start to take form.

Who actually is Seraphim?

From who he is seeking revenge?

Does Heron have god powers?

What's happening behind the scenes?

Was it Worth it?

Definitely, is the sort answer but allow me to elaborate! To begin with i am Greek and it is amazing to see somewhat of our mythology in the form of animation. To add to that it's the first animation that is so Greek mythology oriented so i can't be more than happy!

Don't get me wrong i am not biased but i believe the Greek mythology as well as the Chinese, Egyptian ,Viking has so much content to offer for movies and series and especially for anime.

Also the animation is great, the plot is quite decent and i really like the fight scenes that have some gore elements. It is truly for mature audience as you gonna see guts coming out, blood all over etc etc

The only drawback i see is that for me the development of the plot was quite expected. I can't say it caught me off guard, maybe it's the fact that i have seen way too many anime and series! Finally,
