Yeah well, Berserk as such is pretty dark in terms of personality but I'm referring a bit to the genre and style of the anime. Berserk is a masterpiece, comparing it in its entirety to this one still wouldn't be wise but it has little similar things. The violence and gore is always welcome, I think this was one of the points that caught my attention the most.
