That spoiled-brain attitude he has toward Naruto, complaining that he's not home, also really jarred me. Seeing everything Naruto went through to become Hokage and the sacrifice it entailed, Boruto didn't seem to appreciate it. But I agree with you. The development they give him later, especially when the Otsutsuki and Karma issues appear, and then with Kawaki, is what really gives the story a twist.

The introduction of kawaki added more depth to the series. The fact that he was just as lonely as Naruto when he was a kid made me love him even more. Boruto do have his moments too as well
