True!! It's definitely a mysterious addiction. There are many times I thought I would stop reading it because there's no single good thing that happened to the characters, and if there are, they usually felt odd and pretentious. It's like they're just doing it in order to manipulate each other again. It's indeed dark, and I'm glad you appreciate the heads-up.
