The atmosphere it creates is brutal, super disturbing, and the kind that gets into your head and won't let go. And I like how you explain it, because it's true that even though it has that BL touch, the psychological horror and mystery of the town steal the show. Their relationship is super complex precisely because of everything that's going on. Visually, it's crazy, and the story grabs you from the very beginning. Great review!
