Hello everyone! I hope you are doing great, dear The Anime Realm community, this time I want to share with you all a new review, this time I will tell you about my opinions on the anime: Kokkoku. Seriously, it is an intense and very strange thing, but in a good way! If you are looking for something that mixes family drama with supernatural things, this anime will leave you thinking for a while... it will mess with your brain, but in a good way... but let's see, from minute one, what stands out the most and stays in your head was the opening, ufff! What an opening, bro! Seriously, a gem. Have you ever come across an opening that hypnotizes you from second zero? It's that the mix of images that leave you thinking, full of strange symbols, with that music that seems like a heart beating non-stop, is great... it's very possible that you've already heard it... it's very good, there are many people who only know this anime for its opening, since they've never seen it, but they know this song perfectly and recognize it easily haha, it's one of those cases where the intro song is more famous than the anime itself.
But hey, you can't help but remember that feeling of mystery, and the ending is not far behind, it also leaves you thinking a lot, and captivates you in a unique way... getting into the subject, the plot focuses on the Yukawa family, a normal family, like any other, full of daily problems and family dramas that we all know... but everything goes to hell when they find a very old magic stone that boom! stops time. And there they perform a half-crazy ritual, with blood... super crazy, and the family ends up in Statice, a parallel world where time works differently, and this idea, so original and at the same time so mysterious, captivated me from the first chapter! It's as if suddenly, the routine and chaos of everyday life became a kind of dark tale, full of dangers.

Espero que estén genial, querida comunidad de The Anime Realm, en esta ocasión quiero compartir con todos ustedes una nueva reseña, esta vez les hablaré de mis opiniones sobre el anime: Kokkoku. De verdad, es una cosa intensa y bien rara, ¡pero en el buen sentido! si andas buscando algo que te mezcle drama familiar con cositas sobrenaturales, este anime te va a dejar pensando un buen rato.. te va a revolver el cerebro, pero de la buena manera.. pero a ver, desde el minuto uno, lo que mas resalta y se te queda en la cabeza fue el opening, ¡ufff! ¡Qué opening, hermano! De verdad, una joyita. ¿Alguna vez te has topado con un opening que te hipnotiza desde el segundo cero? Es que la mezcla de imágenes que te dejan pensando, llenas de símbolos raros, con esa música que parece un corazón latiendo sin parar, es genial.. es muy posible que a lo hayan escuchado.. es muy bueno, hay muchas personas que solo conocen este anime por su opening, ya que nunca lo han visto, pero conocen perfectamente está canción y la reconocen fácilmente jaja, es de esos casos donde la canción de intro es más famosa que el propio anime.
Pero bueno, no se puede evitar recordar esa sensación de misterio, y el ending no se queda atrás, también te deja pensando un montón, y te cautiva de forma única.. entrando ya en materia, la trama se centra en la familia Yukawa, una familia normalita, como cualquier otra, llena de problemas del día a día y dramas familiares que todos conocemos.. pero todo se va al carajo cuando encuentran una piedra mágica viejísima que ¡pum! detiene el tiempo. Y ahí hacen un ritual medio loco, con sangre.. super loco todo, y la familia termina metida en Estatice, un mundo paralelo donde el tiempo funciona de otra manera, y esta idea, tan original y a la vez tan misteriosa, ¡a mí me atrapó desde el primer capítulo! Es como si de repente, la rutina y el desmadre del día a día se convirtieran en una especie de cuento oscuro, lleno de peligros.
What I liked about Kokkoku is how they take the characters' internal dramas and mix them with a problem that is crazy, almost impossible to believe! On one hand, you have the family there, fighting with the same old thing: lack of money, arguments, life that overwhelms you, suddenly, they find themselves in a mess where magic and the supernatural are the only way to save themselves. The best thing is that in the middle of it all, each member of the family gets a power crazier than the last! The grandfather, who is like the rock of the family, becomes super skilled, but watch out, as if he were a drunk, all clumsy and out of control... that mix of being strong and vulnerable at the same time, gives him a brutal charisma, I swear that it made you want to hug him and protect him even if he is a disaster.
Another point that blew my mind was Makoto's ability, related to the heralds, super rare and powerful creatures... Imagine, ordinary people, people who were kicked by life, transform into something different, and at the same time dangerous... everyone turns against them quickly, and soon everything starts to get complicated. But everything is rosy in Kokkoku... although the idea is super original and the mix of science fiction with drama is refreshing, sometimes the logic of the story goes down the drain... there were moments when I was left with a face of "WTF?", thinking: "But how is this possible without anyone explaining anything to me?"... some abilities, like Yuri's feel like they were pulled out of the sleeve and they don't develop them as they should, it's kind of annoying that they put powers and things like that without explaining it properly, in the end it takes away a lot from the story.
A mí lo que me gustó de Kokkoku es cómo agarran los dramas internos de los personajes y los mezclan con un problema que es una locura, ¡casi imposible de creer! por un lado, tienes a la familia ahí, luchando con lo de siempre: falta de dinero, discusiones, la vida que te agobia, de repente, se ven metidos en un rollo donde la magia y lo sobrenatural son la única forma de salvarse. lo mejor es que en medio de todo ¡a cada miembro de la familia le sale un poder más loco que el anterior! El abuelo, que es como la roca de la familia, se vuelve super hábil, pero ojo, como si fuera un borracho, todo torpe y sin control.. esa mezcla de ser fuerte y a la vez vulnerable, le da un carisma brutal, te juro que daba ganas de abrazarlo y protegerlo aunque sea un desastre.
Otro punto que me voló la cabeza fue la habilidad de Makoto, relacionado a los heraldos, criaturas super raras y poderosas.. Imagínate, gente común, gente que la vida les dio una patada, se transforman en algo diferente, y a la vez peligroso.. todos se vuelven en su contra rápidamente, y pronto todo se empieza a complicar. Pero todo es color de rosa en Kokkoku.. aunque la idea es súper original y la mezcla de ciencia ficción con drama es refrescante, a veces la lógica de la historia se va al retrete.. hubo momentos en los que me quedé con cara de "WTF?", pensando: "¿Pero esto cómo es posible sin que me expliquen nada?".. algunas habilidades, como la de Yuri se sienten como sacadas de la manga y no las desarrollan como deberían, da cierta rabia que metan poderes y cosas así sin explicártelo bien, al final le resta un montón a la historia.
And speaking of animation and drawing, well, they are decent, they do the job, but they don't blow your mind, you know what I mean? The CGI, above all, feels ugly sometimes, it's something that you notice and it takes you out of the vibe a bit... but, the atmosphere that they put in at Estatice is so dense, so mysterious, that you kind of forget about those little details... the atmosphere is brutal, you really feel like you've entered another world where time stops and every second is worth gold.
But if there's something that really caught my attention it's that feeling that the anime has, as if it reminds you that, even if life is a routine and full of problems, there's always something magical hidden out there... that mix of reality and fantasy, it touched me, at times, I felt very identified with the family's struggle, with that desire to escape from the routine, from the day to day problems, even if for that you have to get into a world full of dangers that you don't know about. And I was left thinking, how do you improve something that is already so original? I think that if they explained some things a little better, like how the powers work or how the characters change, the experience would be perfect, it's like when you're putting together a complicated puzzle that you love, but you feel like some pieces don't quite fit together... despite those little details, the series in general is good, you stay intrigued in certain parts.
Y hablando de la animación y el dibujo, a ver, están decentes, cumplen, pero tampoco es que te vuelen la cabeza, ¿me entiendes? El CGI, sobre todo, ahí sí se siente feo a veces, es algo que se nota y te saca un poco de la onda.. pero, que el ambiente que se mandaron en Estatice es tan denso, tan misterioso, que como que te olvidas un poco de esos detallitos.. la atmósfera está brutal, de verdad te sientes como si entraras a otro mundo donde el tiempo se detiene y cada segundo vale oro.
Pero si hay algo que de verdad me atrapó es ese sentimiento que tiene el anime, como si te recordara que, aunque la vida sea una rutina y esté llena de problemas, siempre hay algo mágico escondido por ahí.. esa mezcla de realidad y fantasía, a mí me tocó, a veces, me sentí muy identificado con la lucha de la familia, con esas ganas de escapar de la rutina, de loa problemas del día a día, aunque para eso tengas que meterte en un mundo lleno de peligros que no conoces. Y me quedé pensando, ¿cómo mejoras algo que ya de por sí es tan original?.. yo creo que si explicaran un poquito mejor algunas cosas, como cómo funcionan los poderes o cómo cambian los personajes, la experiencia sería perfecta, es como cuando estás armando un rompecabezas complicado, que te encanta, pero sientes que algunas piezas no terminan de encajar.. a pesar de esos detallitos, la serie en general está buena, te quedas intrigado en ciertas partes.
There were parts where I was left with my mouth open, and others where logic went haywire and I was left thinking "what the fuck?!". But you know what? That same madness is what gives it its special touch... it's an anime that takes a chance, that isn't afraid to show the good and the not so good... that's why I'm going to give it a 7/10. It's not perfect, nor is it close to being so, but I think it has an ambition and a courage to get out of the mold that make it worthwhile, especially if you like the science fiction thing mixed with drama... if you are one of those who are looking for something different, Kokkoku can help you if you have nothing to do, or to relax with your friends, it invites you to get into a world where time freezes, where family decisions become almost magical, and where even the opening and the ending tell you their own story...
When I finished watching it, I couldn't stop thinking about how, in the middle of disaster and routine, there is always a spark of magic and power, that pushes us to move forward... it is one of those animes that make you think beyond, to look for the meaning of things when everything is a mess... despite the fact that it has its flaws and sometimes the story falters a bit, the journey through Estatice is an interesting experience, I don't consider it to be a bad anime, as many may make it seem... and Well friends, that's all for today! Hubo partes que me quedé con la boca abierta, y otras donde la lógica se fue de paseo y me quedé pensando "¡¿qué carajo?!". Pero, ¿sabes qué? Esa misma locura es lo que le da su toque especial.. es un anime que se lanza, que no le tiene miedo a mostrar lo bueno y lo no tan bueno.. por eso, le voy a dar un 7/10. No es perfecto, ni esta cerca de serlo, pero considero, tiene una ambición y una valentía para salirse del molde que lo hacen valer la pena, sobre todo si te gusta el rollo de ciencia ficción mezclado con drama.. si eres de los que busca algo diferente, Kokkoku te puede ayudar si no tienes nada que ver, o para relajarte con tus amigos, te invita a meterte en un mundo donde el tiempo se congela, donde las decisiones de la familia se vuelven casi mágicas, y donde hasta el opening y el ending te cuentan su propia historia..
Cuando terminé de verlo, no dejaba de pensar en cómo, en medio del desastre y la rutina, siempre hay una chispa de magia y poder, que nos empuja a seguir adelante.. es de esos animes que te pican a pensar más allá, a buscarle el sentido a las cosas cuando todo es un lío.. a pesar de que tiene sus fallitas y a veces la historia se tambalea un poco, el viaje por Estatice es una experiencia interesante, no considero que sea un anime malo, como muchos pueden hacer ver.. y bueno amigos, eso es todo por el día de hoy!
