Greetings, fellow Otakus of #TheAnimeRealm. I recently decided to rewatch Death Note to relive some old memories. The truth is, I saw it a long time ago during my university days and didn't remember anything about it, so I had to rewatch it to refresh my memory.

Lo que recuerdo de aquella ocasión que la vi por primera vez, es que no me gustó, pero no me malentiendan, no me gustó el protagonista y que se saliera tantas veces con la suya para que al final luego de dar tanto rollo terminara como terminó.

What I remember from the first time I saw it is that I didn't like it, but don't misunderstand me, I didn't like the protagonist and how he got away with it so many times, only to end up the way he did after all that fuss.
La serie es muy buena, tiene muchos aspectos positivos, sobre todo en la forma de desarrollar la trama y generarle intriga al espectador para mantenerlo pegado a la pantalla hasta terminar la serie.
The series is very good, it has many positive aspects, especially in the way it develops the plot and generates intrigue for the viewer to keep them glued to the screen until the end of the series.
Sin embargo, desde mi punto de vista, la mejor parte de la historia se desarrolla cuando L está presente, aunque en cierto punto cuando "atrapan" a Kira se me hizo bastante aburrida, es decir, mucho bla bla bla y poca acción. Además de que hubo exceso de monólogos por ambas partes.
However, from my point of view, the best part of the story unfolds when L is present, although at a certain point, when Kira is "caught", it became quite boring; I mean, lots of talking and little action. Plus, there was an excess of monologues from both sides.
Y pues lo siento, pero en cierto punto perdí el interés y me generó tanto aburrimiento que me quedé dormida en ciertos episodios. Y lo peor no es eso sino que en el pasado recuerdo que sucedió lo mismo por lo que me salté ciertos capítulos y cuando volví a verlos de nuevo, fue como verlos por primera vez, así que esto confirma mis sospechas, no me aburrió una sola vez sino 2 veces, por eso no la recordaba bien.
And well, I'm sorry, but at a certain point I lost interest and it bored me so much that I fell asleep during some episodes. And the worst part isn't even that, but that I remember the same thing happening in the past, so I skipped certain episodes, and when I watched them again, it was like watching them for the first time. So this confirms my suspicions; it didn't bore me just once, but twice, which is why I didn't remember it well.
Y bueno, lo que más me gustó fue el final. Desde que la serie inició, fui Team L, nunca estuve de acuerdo con el protagonista en apoyar su idea de crear un nuevo mundo. Para mí Light es un psicópata que aprovechó la oportunidad de matar personas despiadadamente sin necesidad de estar presente para hacerlo.
And well, what I liked most was the ending. From the beginning of the series, I was Team L; I never agreed with the protagonist's idea of creating a new world. To me, Light is a psychopath who took advantage of the opportunity to kill people ruthlessly without even being present to do it.
Me rompió el corazón ver cómo Kira usaba a las personas e incluso a los Shinigamis a su favor, siempre para salirse con la suya. Esto fue lo que más me costaba ver, que no le cayera la mano de la justicia a este asesino en serie y siempre se saliera con la suya.
It broke my heart to see how Kira used people and even Shinigami to his advantage, always to get his way. This was the hardest thing for me to watch: that this serial killer never faced justice and always got away with it.
Esto me hizo ver la serie prácticamente obligada en aquella primera ocasión y la segunda vez que decidí verla pues, ya tenía una idea de lo que vendría así que no me costó tanto verla, sin embargo, el aburrimiento persistió y me vencía el sueño.
This made me watch the series practically forced on that first occasion, and the second time I decided to watch it, well, I already had an idea of what was coming, so it wasn't so hard to watch it; however, boredom persisted, and sleep overcame me.
Por lo que puedo afirmar que esta serie a pesar de ser una joya en el mundo del animé no es para todo el mundo. Sí, es una trama con una narrativa espectacular, muy bien pensada y muy bien elaborada ya que cada episodio muestra una lucha moral entre lo que está bien y lo que está mal.
Therefore, I can say that this series, despite being a gem in the world of anime, isn't for everyone. Yes, it has a spectacular narrative, very well thought out and very well crafted, as each episode presents a moral struggle between right and wrong.
Y como dije, al inicio es excelente, pero llegado un punto empieza a hacerse aburrido hasta su memorable final, que, aunque me encantó, también me decepcionó por la reacción tan cobarde que mostró Kira al dejar caer su máscara de niño bueno que mantuvo por tantos años.
And as I said, it starts excellently, but at a certain point it begins to get boring until its memorable ending, which, although I loved it, also disappointed me because of the cowardly reaction Kira showed when he dropped the good-boy mask that he had maintained for so many years.
Al final, esto me hizo pensar, ¿de qué valió tanto esfuerzo en mantenerse oculto y matar a tantas personas? ¿se hizo justicia? Lo cierto es que L no merecía morir y al descubrir finalmente quién era realmente Kira y todo salió a la luz, quien terminó ganando de todo esto fue el Shinigami que se "divirtió" en ese tiempo que estuvo en el mundo de los humanos. De mi parte le otorgo 4 estrellas de 5, estuvo muy bien hecha pero no es mi favorita, y no la vería una tercera vez.
In the end, this made me wonder, what was the point of all that effort to stay hidden and kill so many people? Was justice served? The truth is, L didn't deserve to die, and when Kira's true identity was finally revealed, and everything came to light, the one who ultimately won was the Shinigami who "had his fun" during his time in the human world. Personally, I give it 4 out of 5 stars. It was very well done, but it's not my favorite, and I wouldn't watch it a third time.
