Una de las razones por las que me gusta el anime, es por la capacidad de crear conceptos alocados y originales, que si bien pueden ser muy arriesgados y no funcionar, a veces sorprende y acaba gustando a muchos, este es el caso del título que reseño hoy. Estrenada el 2023 con 12 episodios. Siendo desarrollado por el estudio Bibury Animation Studios, dirige Hikaru Sato. Está basado en el manga de Rikito Nakamura.
One of the reasons why I like anime, is the ability to create crazy and original concepts, which although they can be very risky and not work, sometimes surprises and ends up pleasing many, this is the case of the title that I review today. Released in 2023 with 12 episodes. Being developed by Bibury Animation Studios, directed by Hikaru Sato. It is based on the manga by Rikito Nakamura.
Sinopsis: Rentaro es un joven escolar que ha tenido mala suerte en el amor. A cada chica que le pide ser su enamorada, acaba obteniendo un rechazo; sin embargo, luego de pedir ayuda al Dios del amor, acaba siendo vinculado con 100 futuras posibles novias. El problema es que Rentarou tendrá que mantener la relación con todas a la vez.
Synopsis: Rentaro is a young schoolboy who has been unlucky in love. Every girl he asks to be his crush, he ends up getting a rejection; however, after asking the God of love for help, he ends up being linked with 100 potential future girlfriends. The problem is that Rentarou will have to maintain the relationship with all of them at once.
La razón por la que Rentaro debe mantener la relación con todas las chicas, es que si no logra mantenerla, la otra persona muere. Dicho esa premisa, lo que obtenemos es una comedia con romance, pero principalmente comedia; en cada capítulo iremos viendo como Rentaro va conociendo a sus novias y como tratará de manejar esta situación de la manera más cómica posible.
The reason Rentaro must maintain the relationship with all the girls is that if he fails to maintain it, the other person dies. With that premise said, what we get is a comedy with romance, but mainly comedy; in each chapter we will see how Rentaro gets to know his girlfriends and how he will try to handle this situation in the funniest way possible.
El anime que solo abarca una parte del manga, llega a mostrar las primeras 6 novias, pero el manga, mucho más adelantado, ya lleva casi 20 o más; el autor del manga, se ha mostrado decidido en llegar a completar la centena. Lo bueno es que a pesar de la cantidad, mantiene la capacidad de crear buenos diseños para los personajes como una personalidad particular.
The anime, which only covers a part of the manga, shows the first 6 girlfriends, but the manga, much more advanced, already has almost 20 or more; the author of the manga has been determined to complete the hundred. The good thing is that in spite of the quantity, it maintains the capacity to create good designs for the characters as a particular personality.
Otro punto que destaca esta comedia, es el usar referencias de cultura popular actual y el de romper la cuarta pared. Se vuelve un signo distintivo, a las ya de por sí alocadas situaciones. En lo referente a la animación, simplemente cumple, no destaca mucho en ese aspecto. En la música, me gustaron los endings.
Another highlight of this comedy is the use of current popular culture references and breaking the fourth wall. It becomes a distinctive sign to the already crazy situations. As for the animation, it simply complies, it doesn't stand out much in that aspect. As for the music, I liked the endings.
Si te gustan los animes harem o con comedia alocada e inusual, no hay forma que dejes de ver este anime.
If you like harem anime or anime with crazy and unusual comedy, there is no way you should miss this anime.

Este RomCom lo considero como uno de los mejores que salieron el año pasado (más que todo por el tema de la comedia). Los personajes, las referencias, las escenas graciosas y la gran cantidad de momentos tan bizarros que ocurren la hacen una obra única en su estilo. Y lo que más me gusta es que llevan todo al extremo, como si de una sátira del mismo género se tratase.
La premisa de "100 Kanojo" suena realmente única, veré si le doy una oportunidad! Saludos!
I've already seen a couple of reviews of this anime and they've been quite positive, so it sure is as good as you say. I find it very interesting that this anime breaks the fourth wall, that certainly makes it quite distinctive.

I think I've added this to my watch list since I'm a bit intrigued of this romcom. But 100 girls of different personalities - good luck with that. It's going to be difficult for the author to keep up with these characters.
