¡Hola tribu creativa!
Una de las cosas que me encanta realizar es diseño de personajes. Algunos personajes suelen desarrollarse de manera fácil y fluida pero hay otros que son más resistentes.
Así que, para darle rienda suelta a mi imaginación, me he dedicado a realizar personajes adoptables.
Los adoptables son personajes que se pueden ceder o adoptar (de ahí el término) para el uso de otros. Se pueden ceder con licencias de uso personal o comercial. El creador establece los términos bajo los cuales cede el uso de su personaje adoptable con los cuales el adoptante estará de acuerdo.
En esta oportunidad, quise trabajar con una conejita bailarina de ballet kemono mimi. Quise mantener una paleta de colores mínima por lo que el color rosa pastel se vuelve la base de la personalidad de esta conejita a la cual llamé Arielle Blush.
Para simular el pelaje de un conejito, decidí usar el blanco para su cabellera y orejas. También el blanco es parte de su vestuario con la idea de dar a entender que es el pelaje que cubre todo su cuerpo, representado con su vestuario.
Lo que más me tomó tiempo decidir fue su rostro. Traté de darle la mirada tierna y los ojos grandes y almendrados de los conejos para darle el aspecto tímido y tierno.
Las poses de las bailarinas de ballet me encantan pero las encuentro bastante difíciles de representar, ya que son figuras muy estilizadas, elegantes y con un perfecto balance. Si algo no se capta en la pose, ya luce bastante extraña.
Me gustó cómo resultó Arielle. También me sirvió para querer practicar más trajes de ballet. Me encanta como se ven los personajes con sus trajes y tal vez decida más adelante hacer una ilustración con alguno de mis personajes originales vistiendo así.
Les comparto algunos de los pasos en el proceso de elaboración.

One of the things I love doing is character design. Some characters develop easily and fluidly, but others are more resistant.
So, to let my imagination run wild, I’ve dedicated myself to creating adoptable characters.
Adoptables are characters that can be given or adopted (hence the term) for use by others. They can be offered with personal‑use or commercial‑use licenses. The creator sets the terms under which the adoptable is granted, and the adopter agrees to those terms.
In this case, I wanted to work with a ballet‑dancing bunny kemono mimi. I kept the color palette minimal, so pastel pink becomes the core of this bunny’s personality, which I named Arielle Blush.
To simulate a rabbit’s fur, I used white for her hair and ears. White also appears in her outfit to suggest that the fur covers her entire body, represented by the costume.
The part that took me the most time was her face. I tried to give her the sweet gaze and large, almond‑shaped rabbit eyes to convey a shy, tender look.
I love ballet poses, but I find them quite challenging to render because they’re highly stylized, elegant, and perfectly balanced. If something is off in the pose, it looks noticeably strange.
I’m pleased with how Arielle turned out. It also motivated me to practice more ballet costumes. I love how characters look in their outfits, and I may later illustrate one of my original characters dressed this way.
I’m sharing some steps from the creation process.
