¡Feliz inicio de semana! Espero que hayan tenido un excelente fin de semana y sus baterías estén recargadas al máximo para dar lo mejor en los próximos días.
La semana pasada no pude estar muy activa en el grupo ya que algunos temas personales requerían mi atención completa, pero ya estoy de vuelta para compartir más ilustraciones y tutoriales sobre ilustración, manga y anime.
Y para empezar la semana, les quiero compartir una ilustración relacionada a las actividades del grupo de Selfshipping para la pareja OCxCanon, Ylia y Pete Richardson de Daiku Maryu Gaiking.
En la tripulación del Gran Dragón del Espacio, sólo hay un personaje femenino relevante: Marissa Morgan, encargada de las comunicaciones. Fue adoptada por el Dr. Diamond quien la encontró perdida y sin memoria.
Todos los miembros de la tripulación tienen un crush hacia ella, incluyendo al Capitán aunque él es muy discreto.
Por lo general, en el anime shounen, la chica protagonista siempre termina enamorada del personaje masculino principal, son la pareja estelar.
Sin embargo, en Gaiking, podemos ver que Marissa tiene una actitud ambivalente hacia Brando y Pete. Por momentos, se puede ver que ella tiene cierta atracción hacia Brando, el piloto de Gaiking y en otras ocasiones, se le ve inclinar la balanza a favor de Pete.

Adicional a esto, se le coloca en situaciones un tanto comprometedoras con el Capitán. Tal vez Go Nagai hizo eso para reafirmar la competitividad que existe entre los dos personajes masculinos y poder generar más tensión entre ellos no sólo a nivel profesional sino personal.

Así que aproveché ese elemento para agregarlo en la trama de la historia de Ylia y Pete, reflejándolo en una ilustración.
Mientras disfrutan de un momento fuera de sus obligaciones, Ylia, Pete y Marissa están en el mirador del faro conversando.
El Capitán, relajado, conversa con ellas y le explica algo a Ylia, quien escucha atentamente su explicación, manteniendo una distancia que demuestra respeto por su superior aún cuando no portan el uniforme.
Por su parte, Marissa observa la interacción de ellos y, para demostrar que hay más confianza entre Pete y ella, mantiene contacto físico con él apoyando una de sus manos en el hombro del Capitán.
Fan-Li y Brando, quienes pasan por el sitio, miran la interacción de ellos con algo de sorpresa ya que Pete no es precisamente de los que prefieran conversar con todo el mundo.
Y esta fue la ilustración para la escena.
También les comparto algunas capturas de pantalla del proceso.
Creo que agregar la interacción entre Marissa y Pete servirá para crear tensión entre la pareja de Ylia y Pete y poder jugar con los elementos conflictivos en el desarrollo del romance entre ellos, adicional al conflicto de Pete con Brando. Es algo con lo que no he trabajado en historias aún así que será interesante ver cómo adapto la narrativa para este recurso.

Happy start of the week! I hope you all had an excellent weekend and that your batteries are fully recharged to give your best in the coming days.
Last week, I couldn't be very active in the group because some personal matters required my full attention, but I'm back to share more illustrations and tutorials on illustration, manga, and anime.
And to start the week, I want to share an illustration related to the activities of the Selfshipping group for the OCxCanon couple, Ylia and Pete Richardson from Daiku Maryu Gaiking.
In the crew of the Great Space Dragon, there is only one relevant female character: Marissa Morgan, in charge of communications. She was adopted by Dr. Diamond, who found her lost and without memory.
All crew members have a crush on her, including the Captain, although he is very discreet.
Generally, in shounen anime, the female protagonist always ends up falling in love with the main male character; they are the star couple.
However, in Gaiking, we can see that Marissa has an ambivalent attitude towards Brando and Pete. At times, it can be seen that she has some attraction towards Brando, the pilot of Gaiking, and at other times, she is seen favoring Pete.

In addition to this, she is placed in somewhat compromising situations with the Captain. Perhaps Go Nagai did this to reinforce the competitiveness that exists between the two male characters and to generate more tension between them, not only professionally but also personally.

So, I took that element to add it to the plot of Ylia and Pete's story, reflecting it in an illustration.
While enjoying a moment away from their duties, Ylia, Pete, and Marissa are at the lighthouse lookout conversing.
The Captain, relaxed, talks to them and explains something to Ylia, who listens attentively to his explanation, maintaining a distance that shows respect for her superior even when they are not in uniform.
For her part, Marissa observes their interaction and, to show that there is more confidence between Pete and her, maintains physical contact with him by placing one of her hands on the Captain's shoulder.
Fan-Li and Brando, who pass by the site, look at their interaction with some surprise since Pete is not precisely one of those who prefer to chat with everyone.
And this was the illustration for the scene.
I also share some screenshots of the process.
I think adding the interaction between Marissa and Pete will help create tension between Ylia and Pete's couple and be able to play with the conflictive elements in the development of the romance between them, in addition to the conflict between Pete and Brando. It's something I haven't worked with in stories yet, so it will be interesting to see how I adapt the narrative for this resource.
