¡Hola Comunidad de amantes del anime y el manga!
Este año me propuse mantener más actualizada mi cuenta de TikTok y mi canal de YouTube. Aunque el tema del acceso a internet sigue siendo una gran limitante, he hecho lo posible por mantener cierta continuidad en las actualizaciones.
La cuenta de TikTok pasó de 161 seguidores a 209 mientras que la de Youtube ya llegó a los primeros 100 suscriptores.
Con este crecimiento, se acercó a mí el primer artista en TikTok para conversar acerca de una colaboración.
Las colaboraciones se suelen hacer entre artistas para cruzar audiencias y encontrar posible público en la audiencia del otro. Es una forma divertida de ayudarse mutuamente con el alcance y crecimiento de las cuentas, tomando en cuenta que muchas veces, el algoritmo de las redes sociales juega en contra del arte.
Para esta colaboración, el artista sugirió dibujar nuestros personajes principales. Así que él dibujaría a uno de los personajes principales de mi manga "Ángel Guardián", Gersiel, mientras yo me encargaría de realizar una ilustración de su personaje Rex.
Me envió la imagen de referencia y me dio una pequeña reseña de Rex. Esto siempre me es de muchísima utilidad al momento de trabajar con el lenguaje corporal y expresiones del personaje.
Me dio libertad de trabajar con Rex, sólo me indicó que le gustaría que fuese una pose de pelea. Así que empecé por eso, realizar una pose donde se pudiera notar la tensión del combate y el uso de su poder de hielo.
Fui trabajando los detalles de su vestuario. Me encanta ese estilo de chaqueta que usa Rex, por lo que cuidé que tuviera suficiente detalle dentro de la simplificación del estilo anime.
El entintado lo hice con una plumilla que simula el trazo del estilo anime y aunque jugué en algunas partes con la variación del grosor, traté que quedara lo más estándar posible para que pareciese un screenshot de anime.
Al momento de colorear, el cabello fue algo con lo que me divertí dándole un poco de volumen con los tonos de azul así como con el efecto del poder en sus manos. Me resulta divertido y retador realizar los efectos de luz. Hasta cierto punto, es bastante relajante para mí.

Luego de enviarlo, el artista me indicó que le encantó. Me envió su versión de Gersiel y en lo que pueda, prepararé un video para compartirlo y hablar un poco de la experiencia. Me alegra mucho que le haya gustado mi versión de Rex.

Hello anime and manga lovers community!
This year I set a goal to keep my TikTok account and YouTube channel more up‑to‑date. Although limited internet access remains a major obstacle, I’ve done my best to maintain some consistency in my updates.
My TikTok follower count grew from 161 to 209, and my YouTube channel reached its first 100 subscribers.
With this growth, the first TikTok artist reached out to discuss a collaboration.
Collaborations usually happen between artists to cross‑pollinate audiences and discover potential fans in each other’s followings. It’s a fun way to help each other with reach and growth, especially since social‑media algorithms often work against art.
For this collaboration, the artist suggested we each draw the other’s main character. He would illustrate one of the main characters from my manga Ángel Guardián, Gersiel, while I would create an illustration of his character Rex.
He sent me a reference image and a short description of Rex. This is incredibly helpful when working on the character’s body language and expressions.
He gave me creative freedom with Rex, only asking that the pose be a fighting stance. So I started by designing a pose that conveys combat tension and his ice‑power usage.
I then refined the details of his outfit. I love the jacket style Rex wears, so I made sure it retained enough detail while staying true to a simplified anime aesthetic.
The inking was done with a nib that mimics anime line work; I varied line thickness in a few spots but kept it mostly standard to look like an anime screenshot.
When coloring, I had fun giving his hair volume with shades of blue and adding the icy power effect to his hands. Creating light effects is both challenging and relaxing for me.

After I sent it, the artist told me he loved it. He shared his version of Gersiel, and whenever I can, I’ll prepare a video to showcase it and talk about the experience. I’m thrilled that he liked my take on Rex.
We’ll see what new collaborations appear in the future.
