So when I first picked up Vagabond, I couldn't believe it was written and illustrated by the same mangaka. It's so different! So realistic, so emotional.
Sameee, after finishing SlamDunk manga, I decided to explore other Inoue-sensei's work—Real, Buzzer Beater, and even his one-shot story works—then I came to this. It was really a shock for me when I came across Vagabond because it's plot is much heavier than his other works.
Yeah, but it looks like this has taken a big toll on him, mentally, I suppose?
Hmm, your comment just reminded me that I need to pick up Real very soon. I've been meaning to read it for quite some time.
It seems so because, based on his (last) recent tweets, he seemed to be doing pretty fine... he even posted about the publication of a certain chapter of Real and also promotional illustrations for the SlamDunk movie. I guess that genre really took a toll on him, but I do hope someday he will continue it...
