My analysis of the anime Attack on Titan [Eng-Epn].

If there is a series that of truth me left crazy and thinking for days, that is attack on titan. Not is only action and fights; is a story sad, full of emotions and moments that you impact. If no you have seen, of truth you should give it a opportunity.

When I started watching it, honestly, I had no idea what was coming. It all begins with humanity living cornered between giant walls, believing they are protected... until an enormous titan appears, the Colossal one, and breaks the gate as if it were made of cardboard.

What traumatized me the most at the beginning was the feeling that the protagonist 'dies' emotionally right from the start. Eren Jaeger watches how his mother is devoured in front of him, and that’s where his childhood ends. From that moment, Eren has such immense sadness and rage that his sole goal is to wipe out all the Titans. It's too strong a change right from the first episode. Years later, he joined the Survey Corps, which is the military branch responsible for exploring the world outside the walls.

The series also doesn't hold back on the chaos and violence. Seeing those Titans devouring people is brutal. It's not violence just for the sake of it, but they show you how desperate and fragile humans are. There are no 'pretty' fights; there is pure terror and survival.

And something that hit me hard is the pain. In this series, deaths do not go unnoticed. Every character has a story, a life, and all that is lost in a second. You feel the tragedy, the trauma, and how unfair the constant war they live is.

The craziest thing is seeing how, after the massacre, people try to continue with their life as if nothing happened. They live with fear, but as they have no other option, they end up getting used to it. It is very strong.

1000396523.jpg

As it advances, you realize that it is not just a series about killing Titans. It turns into an enormous political and social mess, where every truth has another truth behind it.

Freedom is the motive and the dream of everyone. For Eren, Mikasa, and Armin, freedom is being able to see the sea, being able to live without feeling enclosed. It is something so basic and normal that it becomes painful to see how much it costs them to reach it.

1000396552.jpg

And that search leads them to a war without apparent sense. They do not only fight against Titans, but against people who hide secrets, corrupt leaders, and a system full of lies.

But the hardest part is the price of that freedom. The series teaches you that, to achieve it, a lot is lost: innocence, morality, stability, and lives. So many that it makes you wonder if it is really worth going that far.

What the series taught me is that it shows how the pain of one generation turns into resentment for the other. Every revelation makes you rethink who the 'good ones' are and who the 'bad ones' are. And that the true problem is usually humanity and ignorance; although the Titans are scary, the worst conflicts come from the population and their decisions and their prejudices.

Thank you for taking the time to get here, I hope you like it and enjoy it if you plan to see it.
