Ask Anime Question of the Week:

What's an Anime that Had a Peaceful Plot?

Most anime have a high stakes life or death scenario or something too serious to think about. What anime do you think doesn't follow this formula where there's no real conflict that's too great and it's just simple mundane living?

Rules:

  2. Must be in English but you can attach a section for a different language too as long as there is an English section that conveys the same thought.

In my mind that will be My Neighbor Totoro It’s very gentle and full of wonders.

There are two anime that immediately come to mind when it comes to having feel-good vibes. It's Gakuen Babysitters and Sanrio Danshi.

Watching these babies heal my heart and soul. They're so adorable!!!!

And... I love watching this group of cool-looking guys flail over Sanrio characters. The gap is otherworldly! haha

Himouto! Umaru-chan comes to mind haha it is an anime about the daily life of a girl who only studies and plays video games and behaves like a 5 year old girl when she is at home, there are no serious conflicts, just everyday situations that are easily solved. The characters are not problematic, just immature as typical of the age, but nothing that with a good meal is not solved haha exceeds the quiet 😂

There are a lot of anime that have a peaceful plot and aren't boring, but the first one that came to my mind is Skip and Loafer. I finally finished watching it this morning, so I'm still quite hung up with it. Its plot features the simple yet interesting life of a girl from a province who moves to Tokyo. It's heartwarming to watch how she lives her life as a highschooler...just seeing them gives me nice collywobbles—ahhhh high school life~

I think Bocchi the Rock! is a lovely anime that tells one of the most common stories. Who hasn't felt anxiety?

An anime that has a quiet plot, focused on everyday life without significant conflict, is Flying Witch, this series follows Makoto, a young witch who moves to the countryside to live with her relatives and continue her training. The narrative focuses on her daily experiences, interactions with the local inhabitants, all infused with light magical elements, it is ideal for relaxing.

Honestly I saw one when I was a kid, I wasn't even 10 years old I think, but the story was normal, a young man who worked and fell in love with a girl from his town, and in the end he didn't declare his love and the girl left. It seems a little silly but the story was very quiet, it lasted about 12 chapters I don't remember. And well, I can't find her name either.

I tried to choose different anime, but at some point there was always a problem. So I had to use a genre I don't like...

I chose the anime Minami Ke, one of the few Spice of Life series in which not much happens, and I don't fall asleep from boredom. The story is about 3 different sisters. The oldest, due to her age, is the most responsible, and therefore takes care of the younger ones. The middle one has ADHD, she literally has a motorbike up her ass. She runs here and there, picking on others. The younger one is the calmest, and also seems to be the most intelligent. An "edgy" type of person. Three sisters live in one house and lead a crazy but happy life full of various surprises. A nice comedy for those who have siblings and remember how it was a long time ago. Lots of different types of humor - from low-brow to slightly more ambitious. There will also be no shortage of more serious motives, after all, after a quarrel or argument, we need to make amends for our bad behavior or come to an understanding.

I don't even know but I think it would be Windbreaker to me. I don't know,it didn't just seem too serious to me compared to the likes of Toyko Revengers. But I don't know, maybe it's more. I've not really read the manga

Well, that type of anime isn't the usual kind of series I would watch, but I did watch Kotaro Lives Alone and even when I did cry sometimes it felt very peaceful to me because it's just the adventures of a little kid that lives alone with the help of his neighbors.

If you haven't watched it yet, I totally recommend it.

Love that anime, too!!! It made me cry, but at the same it it warmed my heart...

This is my love story with yamada-kun, a peaceful plot anime. This anime is a romantic anime. There is no fighting in this anime. So from me it seems like a peaceful plot.
