Años después de este suceso Touya tenía 13 años y se comportaba como un niño totalmente normal, había dejado atrás sus ambiciones de ser un héroe, o eso era lo que quería que todos pensaran ya que entrenaba a escondidas. Tiempo después logra cambiar su llama roja por una azul le pide a su padre que vaya con él a la cima de sekoto, su padre al darse cuenta que él ha estado entrenando en secreto se molesta y le reclama que lo tenia prohibido. Al final Touya se marcha solo al bosque y al no tener control de su llama incendió todo el bosque quemandose él también, fue ahí donde All For One lo rescata y lo lleva a un hospital donde lo operan y queda en un estado de coma.

Mientras tanto toda la ciudad lo había dado por muerto al haber encontrado solo su mandíbula inferior. Al despertar Touya le pide al doctor que lo deje volver a su casa con su familia con la esperanza de que su padre haya cambiado y se encuentre arrepentido. Pero al regresar a su casa se encuentra una imagen de él en un altar y se percata que lo habían considerado muerto, pero la gota que derramó el vaso fue ver a su padre poniéndole un entrenamiento infernal a su hermano Shoto como si nada sucediera, como si él no hubiera “muerto”. Fue en ese momento que se dio cuenta de que frente a los ojos de su padre al era solo un experimento fallido y que tras su supuesta muerte toda su familia había seguido su vida como si nada. Luego de esto se pinta el cabello de negro y se hace llamar “Dabi” para ocultar si verdadera identidad, así ingresa en la Liga de villanos y se convierte en uno de ellos.

Yo considero que Touya no merecía esos tratos de su padre solo por no obtener las habilidades que se esperaban de él, además esto demuestra que los villanos no nacen siendo así, la mayoría son creados por distintas vías y los héroes no siempre son los que “salvan al mundo” porque la lógica de muchos héroes es que si tienen que sacrificar a una persona por el bien común lo harían y lo considerarían un precio justo, pero yo me pregunto… ¿En realidad lo es?

I consider that Touya didn't deserve those treatments from his father just because he didn't get the skills that were expected from him, besides this shows that villains are not born being like that, most of them are created by different ways and heroes are not always the ones that "save the world" because the logic of many heroes is that if they have to sacrifice a person for the common good they would do it and consider it a fair price, but I ask myself...
