Today I bring to you a series I have just started watching called The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious or Saikin Yatotta Maid ga Ayashii

Yuuri is now the young master of the mansion after both of his parents were killed in an accident. Because his funds are low, Yuuri decides to let the mansion's staff go, as he cannot afford to pay them. This leaves Yuuri alone in the mansion.
A maid named Lilith turns up just when Yuuri is feeling low and offers her services to him for free. This makes Yuuri suspicious because she is amazing! Everything that she cooks is amazing, the mansion is always so clean, and her bright purple eyes are extra suspicious.
There is a lot of back and forth with Lilith saying things like she is a witch, which is highly suspicious to our young Yuuri.
I am currently on episode 6 of The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious, and so far it has been fairly entertaining. I came across this on the good ol Crunchyroll, and I'll be honest, I expected Echii galore.
Luckily, it isn't for once, even though the Maid is in rather revealing clothes throughout the series so far. The suggestive comments by Lilith throughout the series are a bit weird considering that Yuuri is a young child. Though it does bring entertaining moments as the 2 of them say things to each other
Now, for a while, I have been considering hiring a maid to clean my house once a month 😅
They are rather costly though. If I found one like Lilith, I would hire her in a heartbeat, she's just amazing!
The opening theme song is Su, Suki Janai by ≠ME
It is a really fun and upbeat song, though when wearing headphones for the first time, it scared the heck out of me 😅
The ending theme song is Himitsu no Niwa no Futari by Yui Horie
This is another great song that really fits the series so well.

I loved reading your feelings on this series. You had me with light and fun in the makabenta sense. I like that you pointed out Yuuri’s life was always a lonely one and how Lilith changes the whole feel of the mansion. The cute little cracks and off-the-wall moments between them sound aw-gee whizz without vomiting on you. I couldn't help but smile at your reaction to the first song! And now I want to watch the anime, just so that I can see what their amusing dynamic is like.
