Glad you found the list helpful! Between the two, Death Note is a great first anime since it's shorter and more focused, but overall, I think Attack on Titan is the better series-it's also my favorite anime!

I actually started watching Death Note a couple of days ago and I'm hooked to it. So thanks for recommending it again! I feel this one gets me going to watch more of these series
