El chaman brujo, o el doctor brujo :
Es bien sabido que los chamanes suelen ser personas con la capacidad de estar en contacto con los espíritus, y con todo lo sobrenatural. Es por ello que también puede mencionarse que ellos pueden traer consigo tanto el bien como el mal, como la cura para el peor de los males, como al mismo tiempo puede ser quien ejecute el peor mal sobre los demás, esto le da el poder y la destreza para controlar todo en su entorno y ser tanto venerado como temido
El concepto :
Esta de mas decir que se trata la obra, pero si he de explicarles de forma breve que esta ilustración pretende mostrarnos a un chaman que trae consigo la intención de atemorizar, de causar miedo y desesperación en los demás y aun así teniendo la posibilidad de curar a quien lo desee nada de esto es gratis para el, todo tiene un costo y un precio a pagar si desean que el levante el mal que aflige a los demás, mal que ha causado el mismo, por eso se postra sobre este enorme cráneo como si fuera su trono sintiéndose a si mismo como un ser que esta por encima de los demás

The witch shaman, or witch doctor:
It is well known that shamans are usually people with the ability to be in contact with spirits, and with everything supernatural. That is why it can also be mentioned that they can bring with them both good and evil, as the cure for the worst of evils, as at the same time can be the one who executes the worst evil on others, this gives them the power and skill to control everything in their environment and be both revered and feared.
The concept :
It goes without saying that the work is about, but if I have to explain briefly that this illustration aims to show us a shaman who brings with him the intention to frighten, to cause fear and despair in others and yet having the ability to heal anyone who wants it, none of this is free for him, everything has a cost and a price to pay if they want him to lift the evil that afflicts others, evil that has caused the same, so he prostrates on this huge skull as if it were his throne feeling himself as a being who is above the others.
Proceso :
Ahora bien en la mayoría de mis procesos suelo iniciar exclusivamente por el rostro ya que es este quien define tanto la personalidad, como el resto del cuerpo, como la posición de los brazos y piernas.
Lo interesante aquí es a pesar de notarse un efecto espejo a la hora de hacer el rostro, se denota o se percibe claramente el camino que seguirá la ilustración esa mascara totémica, transmite la sensación de algo transcendental que poco a poco va adquiriendo tonos mas oscuros
Si bien en la 3era parte del proceso, lo que me imagine podría ser la cintura o una especie de falda, termino convirtiéndose en el bastón del chaman, y poco a poco fue adquiriendo forma en cuanto a la parte del torso siendo el mismo una combinación de los bocetos que mejor se fueron adaptando entre si
Process :
Now in most of my processes I usually start exclusively with the face since it is this that defines the personality, as well as the rest of the body, such as the position of the arms and legs.
The interesting thing here is that in spite of noticing a mirror effect at the time of making the face, it is denoted or clearly perceived the path that the illustration will follow that totemic mask, it transmits the sensation of something transcendental that little by little is acquiring darker tones.
Although in the 3rd part of the process, what I imagined could be the waist or a kind of skirt, ended up becoming the shaman's staff, and gradually took shape in terms of the torso being the same a combination of the sketches that were better adapted to each other.
Ultima parte del proceso, lo que mas me resulta a veces complicado es despegarme un poco de la simetría, ya que es algo que me gusta mucho sinceramente, sin embargo estoy en ese proceso de ir adaptándome a las ilustraciones asimétricas pero en pequeños detalles, en este caso el bastón juega un papel fundamental para ello.
La disposición de las piernas y brazos en un principio podrían dar la sensación de que el chaman esta bailando o haciendo un ritual, aunque no fue lo que me convenció, sin embargo ubicarlo en la calavera como si de su trono se tratase le dio la vida y todo el entorno de oscuridad y desesperación que andaba buscando
Last part of the process, what I find most complicated sometimes is to detach myself a little from the symmetry, as it is something that I really like, however I am in the process of adapting to the asymmetrical illustrations but in small details, in this case the staff plays a key role for it.
The arrangement of the legs and arms at first could give the feeling that the shaman is dancing or doing a ritual, although it was not what convinced me, however placing him on the skull as if it were his throne gave him life and all the environment of darkness and despair that I was looking for.
Por ultimo realice una ilustración mas sencilla solo con la cabeza del chaman, esta tratando de ir por una orientación quizás un poco pero solo un poco mas minimalista sin tanto detalles pero que aun así diera la sensación de ser una ilustración que transmitiera energía y poder, como si estuviera surgiendo de el ya que al ser un chaman posee mucho sentido que transmita ese tipo de sensación
Finally I made a simpler illustration only with the head of the shaman, this trying to go for an orientation perhaps a little but only a little more minimalist without much detail but still give the feeling of being an illustration that transmits energy and power, as if it were emerging from him as being a shaman has much sense to convey that kind of feeling.
