Intense like a ruby

Hoy termine con un dibujo que comencé hace un par de días en el cual estaba en un mood dark, quería hacer algo diferente a un retrato, siempre me enfoco en hacer rostros pero de vez en cuando siento la necesidad de experimentar con otras cosas, en esta oportunidad el protagonista fueron las manos, pecho y un color rojo sangre muy bonito, me sentí muy bien pintando esto y agregándole cada vez mas detalles a las manos y tonalidades rojizas que me parecen hermosas en la piel. Espero que les guste.

Today I finished with a drawing I started a couple of days ago in which I was in a dark mood, I wanted to do something different than a portrait, I always focus on making faces but from time to time I feel the need to experiment with other things, this time the protagonist were the hands, chest and a very nice blood red color, I felt very good painting this and adding more and more details to the hands and reddish tones that I find beautiful in the skin. I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Realice el boceto y comencé a pintar la piel con tonos pálidos, en zonas donde quería tonalidades mas cálidas coloque rosas y rojos suaves, luego agregue dos nuevas capas donde comencé a agregar en cada una de ellas nuevos colores dándole mejor forma a todo el torso y manos, comencé a mezclar los colores dejando un resultado mas realista pero manteniendo texturas y que luzca como pintura, pinte el cabello y la gargantilla, tambien añadí rojos mas intensos en los dedos.

I made the sketch and began to paint the skin with pale tones, in areas where I wanted warmer tones I placed pinks and soft reds, then I added two new layers where I began to add in each of them new colors giving better shape to the entire torso and hands, I began to mix the colors leaving a more realistic result but maintaining textures and look like paint, paint the hair and the choker, I also added more intense reds in the fingers.

Estaba indecisa si pintar el vestido de rojo o negro, al final decidí hacer que todo este dibujo fuera por tonalidades rojizas, que fuese el mayor protagonista entonces coloque un color vino de base para el vestido y luego comencé a dibujar muchos puntos de rojos claros dando ese efecto de lentejuelas, pinte las uñas con un tono lila en combinación de rojos oscuros, luego quise agregar marcas al pecho y cuello simulando hematomas, quería darle mas calidez al dibujo asi que agregue una capa con un color rojo y asi logre darle un poco mas de oscuridad, para un mejor acabado agregue iluminaciones, resalte algunas partes de las manos, vestido y uñas, finalice realizando un leve ajuste de color.

I was undecided whether to paint the dress red or black, in the end I decided to make this whole drawing in reddish tones, to make it the main protagonist so I put a wine color as a base for the dress and then I began to draw many points of light red giving that effect of sequins, I painted the nails with a lilac tone in combination with dark reds, then I wanted to add marks to the chest and neck simulating bruises, I wanted to give more warmth to the drawing so I added a layer with a red color and so I managed to give a little more darkness, for a better finish I added lights, highlighted some parts of the hands, dress and nails, I finished making a slight adjustment of color.
