Hola comunidad Alien! Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes este dibujo inspirado en la temporada de Halloween, me pareció una idea buena crearle una especie de mini historia bastante corta porque la verdad es que después de este dibujo quede muy agotada, últimamente estoy practicando un poco mas con cuerpo completos y me ha hecho muy feliz ver mi avance al trabajar con la piel, estoy muy contenta por que he aprendido a mejorar mi técnica y hacerla ver un poco mas realista que antes, para esta ocasión me inspire en calabazas para comenzar la idea de mi dibujo, al principio quería algo mas colorido, parecido a un estilo de Halloween cute, pero decidí irme por usar colores desaturados y darle este aspecto mas dark.

Today I want to share with you this drawing inspired by the Halloween season, I thought it was a good idea to create a kind of quite short mini story because the truth is that after this drawing I am very exhausted, lately I am practicing a little more with a full body and It has made me very happy to see my progress when working with the skin, I am very happy because I have learned to improve my technique and make it look a little more realistic than before, for this occasion I was inspired by pumpkins to start the idea of my drawing, At first I wanted something more colorful, similar to a cute Halloween style, but I decided to go for desaturated colors and give it this darker look.

Proceso/Process

Mi idea era realizar una especie de calabaza con cuerpo femenino, esta calabaza al principio quería que sostuviese un cuchillo, pero pensé hacerlo un poco mas atractivo con una pose mas libre alzando sus manos y sosteniendo en ellas unas velas derretidas, detrás haría una especie de altar con cráneos apoyados de el, pase el boceto en limpio porque al principio era un desastre y comencé a pintar, para los ojos de la calabaza quería usar un tono verde neón, me gusto la idea de usar el verde para hacerlo un poco más siniestro y que resaltara, pinte el cuerpo usando tonos piel muy oscuros y desaturados, dando así la ilusión de oscuridad que la iba a rodear, continue dando mas detalles a la calabaza y la piel de su cuerpo, realice una iluminación que venia desde arriba que me encanto muchísimo, pinte su ropa con un tono gris oscuro.

My idea was to make a kind of pumpkin with a female body, this pumpkin at first I wanted her to hold a knife, but I thought I would make it a little more attractive with a freer pose raising her hands and holding some melted candles, behind her she would make a kind of altar with skulls leaning on it, I passed the sketch clean because at first it was a mess and I started painting, for the eyes of the pumpkin I wanted to use a neon green tone, I liked the idea of using green to make it a little more sinister and that it would stand out, I painted the body using very dark and desaturated skin tones, thus giving the illusion of darkness that was going to surround it, continue giving more details to the pumpkin and the body, make a lighting that came from above her, i love that a lot, paint the clothes with a dark gray tone.

Comencé a rellenar con colores base el fondo, creando una especie de telón detrás y la base del altar, ilumine un poco arriba el fondo para que esa luz fuese la que produce el rebote de luz en el cuerpo de mi calabaza, pinte los pliegues de la tela de la ropa, ahora pinte las dos velas usando un color base beige y en una nueva capa di los detalles de la cera de la vela creando un volumen entre luces y sombras, empecé a pintar los cráneos de fondo.

I began to fill the background with base colors, creating a kind of curtain behind and the base of the altar, I illuminated the background a little from top so that this light would be the one that produces the bounce of light on the body of my pumpkin, I painted the folds of the fabric of the clothes, now paint the two candles using a beige base color and in a new layer I gave the details of the candle wax creating a volume between lights and shadows, I began to paint the skulls in the background.

Añadí más detalles a los cráneos y encendí las velas dibujando una pequeña llama con movimiento, finalmente aplique algunos ajustes de color, saturación y luz en toda la imagen y puse algunos murciélagos saliendo detrás de la calabaza.

I added more details to the skulls and lit the candles by drawing a small moving flame, finally applied some color, saturation and light adjustments to the whole image and put some bats coming out from behind the pumpkin.

También guarde una versión con tonos naranjas que aunque no fue mi favorita me gusto mucho ese ajuste de color, fue un trabajo bastante genial de hacer, espero que les guste.

I also saved a version with orange tones that although it was not my favorite I really liked that color adjustment, it was a pretty cool job to do, I hope you like it.
