Recreating one of my old drawings | Disney version

Ahora que se estrenó el live action de Blancanieves (que es un insulto a la historia de Blancanieves por cierto y al cine en general jajaja) recordé que en el 2020 cuando aún no tenía Tablet para dibujar y hacia mis dibujos en el celular usando mis dedos, una vez realice una versión dark de Blancanieves, como es normal en ese entonces pensaba que ese dibujo había quedado precioso pero realmente tiene muchos detalles terribles, aunque no puedo evitar darme algo de merito por haberlo hecho con los dedos en un celular jajaja, hoy quise recrearlo y hacerlo obviamente mucho mejor y me encanto como se ve, me inspire muchísimo en mi dibujo original, prácticamente usando una pose muy similar y el mismo vestuario pero usando colores un poco mas acorde y realistas, fue muy divertido recrear este dibujo y hacerlo con todo el cuidado del mundo para que pudiese ver la mejoría, incluso el fondo me gusta muchísimo, espero que a ustedes tambien les guste.

Now that the live action of Snow White was released (which is an insult to the story of Snow White by the way and to the cinema in general hahaha) I remembered that in 2020 when I still didn't have a tablet to draw and I made my drawings on my cell phone using my fingers, once I made a dark version of Snow White, as usual back then I thought that drawing was beautiful but it really has a lot of terrible details, although I can't help but give myself some credit for having done it with my fingers on a cell phone hahaha, today I wanted to recreate it and make it obviously much better and I love how it looks, I was very inspired by my original drawing, practically using a very similar pose and the same costume but using colors a little more consistent and realistic, it was fun to recreate this drawing and do it with all the care in the world so you could see the improvement, even the background I like a lot, I hope you also like it.

Proceso/Process

Realicé el boceto guiándome por mi dibujo anterior, luego elegí los colores para la piel, tenían que ser tonos piel muy pálidos porque… obviamente… ¡Blancanieves! Empecé a añadir mas colores en una nueva capa, coloqué sombras y luces y tonalidades rojizas alrededor de los ojos y labios rojos muy llamativos. Luego empecé a mezclar todos los colores dejando una piel con textura un poco mas suave, tambien aplique color en el cabello y comencé a pintar la ropa, esta vez, escogí un azul oscuro para el vestido.

I made the sketch guided by my previous drawing, then I chose the colors for the skin, they had to be very pale skin tones because... obviously... Snow White!
I started adding more colors in a new layer, I placed shadows and highlights and reddish tones around the eyes and very striking red lips. Then I started to mix all the colors leaving a little softer textured skin, I also applied color on the hair and started to paint the clothes, this time, I chose a dark blue for the dress.

Poco a poco añadí detalles a la ropa para crear los pliegues de la tela y darle un mejor acabado, tambien agregue un poco de luz en el cabello usando un marrón oscuro pero sin demasiados detalles ya que quería que el cabello se viese bastante negro, agregue mas color a las mejillas, labios y alrededor de la zona de la ojera usando tonalidades rosas y rojizas, pinte la manzana y luego me ocupe del fondo, en esta ocasión el fondo igual que mi anterior dibujo debía ser un paisaje nocturno, sin embargo, en el dibujo del 2020 pinte con verde y negro y además agregue arboles con marrones claros, cosa que quedaban bastante mal y poco realista, entonces decidí usar un fondo azul y con un pincel de textura de cabello (El cual modifique para volverlo plano) seguí los pasos de Bob Ross simulando un pincel de abanico y haciendo asi arboles de fondo jaja, fue bastante divertido pintar estos arboles en digital y ver que quedaban muy parecidos a los pinos que pintaba Bob Ross con el pincel abanico, es increíble. Para que mi personaje combinara mejor con el fondo modifique la tonalidad de la piel y el brillo haciéndola mas acorde a el escenario, pinte la lagrima de sangre saliendo del ojo y finalmente agregue detalles de luz en zonas del rostro/cuerpo que quería resaltar.

Little by little I added details to the clothes to create the folds of the fabric and give it a better finish, I also added a little light in the hair using a dark brown but without too many details since I wanted the hair to look quite black, I added more color to the cheeks, lips and around the eye area using pink and reddish tones, I painted the apple and then I took care of the background, this time the background like my previous drawing should be a night landscape, however, in the 2020 drawing I painted with green and black and also added trees with light browns, which were quite bad and unrealistic, then I decided to use a blue background and with a hair texture brush (which I modified to make it flat) I followed the steps of Bob Ross simulating a fan brush and making trees in the background haha, it was quite fun to paint these trees in digital and see that they were very similar to the pine trees painted by Bob Ross with the fan brush, it's amazing.
To make my character match better with the background I modified the skin tone and brightness making it more in line with the scenery, I painted the tear of blood coming out of the eye and finally I added light details in areas of the face/body that I wanted to highlight.

Amé, lo que más me gustaba de blancanieves era lo delicada que era pero bueno. La versión que hiciste en el teléfono me parece increíble por las limitaciones que tiene hacerlo en un aparato tan pequeño, pero en fin, amé ❤️❤️❤️
