Statue. (ENG/SPA)

Hello everyone in this post I'll show the process through which i made this watercolor style drawing inspired in the videogame GRIS and also cause I wanted to make a drawing using just two colors. And I thought that these concepts could match, at least, in a interesting form.

Hola a todos en este post voy a mostrar el proceso por el cuál realicé este dibujo estilo acuarela inspirado en el videojuego GRIS y también porque quería hacer un dibujo usando solo dos colores. Y pensé que estos conceptos podrían coincidir, al menos, de una forma interesante.

So the process wasn't difficult at all, at first I did a quick sketch and next I drew the actual lines I would going to use for the drawing.

Así que el proceso no fue nada difícil, primero hice un boceto rápido y luego dibujé las líneas que usaría para el dibujo.

Afterwards, I painted the statue selecting manually the areas so it would be much easier to paint. I tried to keep certainly deepness with the color so I could make the shadows and keep a variation in the tonality of the skin.

Después pinté la estatua seleccionando manualmente las zonas para que fuera mucho más fácil de pintar. Traté de mantener cierta profundidad con el color para poder hacer las sombras y mantener una variación en la tonalidad de la piel.

Then, and finally, I painted the background to make ti look like a kind of sky and added a white base at the back of some sections of the statue to make it resalt more. I also added some cracks.

Luego, y por último, pinté el fondo para que pareciera una especie de cielo y añadí una base blanca en la parte posterior de algunas partes de la estatua para que resaltara más. También añadí algunas grietas.
