In life there are cycles. Good and bad cycles, the universe moves in that way with moments where everything is good or apparently good and moments that are not so good. That is to say, the universe is cyclical and so the life of human beings goes through these cycles.
The crab symbolises these cycles and has a shell, which protects its body, which is very soft. That shell is the one that takes care and protects the crab, therefore the crab is a being that symbolises that protection against the cycles, of course the not so good cycles. In the face of danger, the crab takes refuge in its home, in its shell.
My zodiac sign is cancer and I had never made a design about it, I found it interesting because, although I don't follow that theme, I think the personality is not governed by that, but I am similar in the sense that, when I feel bad or in difficult situations, I use introspection and maybe I isolate myself a little, I need even more silence and calm. That's what motivated me to make this design.
Design process
The design is made with seven images, arranged in fourteen layers in Photoshop, without using AI.
I liked the idea of mixing the sea with the universe, so for the background I chose a sea image to which I superimposed an image of stars or universe that I arranged in two layers with overlapping mergers and lighter colour. Between them I put another constellation image, which I also made two layers with lighten and focal light mergers.
Once the background was done, I placed an illustration of a crab in two layers with darker colour and focal light mergers and on this image I placed three layers of the woman's face but previously erasing all the background, including the hair. The fusions I used are: darker colour, focal light and normal. I placed this last normal layer of the face on top of the second layer of the universe.
I duplicated the image of the crab that I had placed and on the last layer of the face I placed it in a higher position and with a darker colour fusion.
Then and finally, I worked on the last two crab images, one in two layers over the woman's head, previously erasing the background and with darker colour and focal light blending and the other image in a single layer, also previously erasing the background in normal mode without blending.
The animation is done completely in After Effects, working on the opacity of each layer and adding lights in the form of clouds for better contrast.

En la vida existen ciclos. Ciclos buenos y malos, el universo se mueve de esa manera con momentos en donde todo está bien o aparentemente bien y momentos no tan buenos. Es decir, el universo es cíclico y así la vida de los seres humanos pasa por esos ciclos.
El cangrejo simboliza esos ciclos y tiene un caparazón, el cual protege su cuerpo que es muy blando. Ese caparazón es quien cuida y protege al cangrejo, por lo tanto, el cangrejo es un ser que simboliza esa protección ante los ciclos, por supuesto los ciclos no tan buenos. Ante un peligro el cangrejo se refugia en su casa, en su caparazón.
Mi signo zodiacal es cáncer y nunca había hecho un diseño acerca de él, me resulto interesante porque, si bien no sigo ese tema, creo que la personalidad no está regido por eso, pero me parezco en el sentido de, al sentirme mal o en situaciones difíciles, uso la introspección y tal vez me aíslo un poco, necesito más aún del silencio y la calma. Eso me motivo a realizar ese diseño.
Proceso del diseño
El diseño está realizado con siete imágenes, dispuestas en catorce capas dentro del programa Photoshop, sin utilizar IA.
Me gustó la idea de mezclar el mar con el universo, por eso para el fondo elegí una imagen de mar a la cual le superpuse una de estrellas o universo que dispuse en dos capas con fusiones de superponer y color más claro. Entre ellas puse otra imagen de constelación de la que también hice dos capas con fusiones de aclarar y luz focal.
Realizado el fondo, coloqué una ilustración de un cangrejo en dos capas con fusiones de color más oscuro y luz focal y sobre esta imagen tres capas del rostro de la mujer, pero borrando previamente todo el fondo, incluso el cabello. Las fusiones que usé son: color más oscuro, luz focal y normal. Esta última capa normal del rostro la coloqué por encima de la segunda del universo.
Dupliqué la imagen del cangrejo que había puesto y sobre la capa última del rostro la coloqué en posición más arriba y con fusión de color más oscuro.
Luego y finalmente, trabajé las dos últimas imágenes de cangrejos, una en dos capas sobre la cabeza de la mujer, borrando previamente el fondo y con fusiones de color más oscuro y luz focal y la otra imagen en una sola capa, también borrando previamente el fondo en modo normal sin fusiones.
La animación está realizada completamente en After Effects, trabajando la opacidad de cada capa y agregando luces en forma de nubes para un mejor contraste.

Hi @avdesing, for various reasons I have the movie 2001 in my head these days, and that start of the design reminded me of it again.

It reminds me of 2001 a space odyssey. It is a very special movie for me, and since a few days ago I have had it in my mind. About the cycles, one of the themes it deals with is that of the eternal return... I'm thinking of dedicating something in Hive on the subject.
