In a world where everything has ended, where trees no longer sprout and flowers no longer bloom, there still lives a man who survives everyone, even those who were once his family, a family now forgotten by the passage of time, hundreds of years ago. He survives wars, the destruction that humans inflict on themselves and others, he survives... even love itself.
A man who has undergone many transformations throughout humanity but still retains the memories of who he was in his origin, he remembers everything much better than any other human being. Sometimes he wonders if he still is, or if the fusion with felines has transformed him into the animal world. He no longer wanted to drink human blood, but his inner self drove him to it, so after an eternity he found a way to become feline and, like them, have many lives. This union in turn developed his senses further. He became more mysterious, elegant and beautiful. But along the way he continued to lose others and sometimes hurt them with the animal instinct he carried within him.
A third mutation turned him into what he is today in a desolate land. He no longer needs to feed because part of him is a cyborg, a combination unthinkable in his childhood, but she was left behind thousands of years ago. He still hopes that humanity will rise from the ashes and that he will not be the only one on the vast planet, and perhaps he will see her again, even if it is in another body. Souls that are united always recognise each other despite time and mutations....
Greetings to the entire Alien Art Hive community. Today I want to participate again in the contest proposed by @ezuntimmy with the support of the community, now in its second edition. These kinds of contests are interesting and motivating because they encourage and motivate artists to create based on a theme and also foster interaction among us artists, which is essential for the growth and improvement of the community.
That is why I am joining this initiative, contributing my creativity and my designs. My inspiration initially comes from the theme given: Immortal. From there, I couldn't help but imagine a vampire, as they have always fascinated me. But I wrote this short story, which inspired me to create a special vampire, one that was like cats, which are said to have many lives, but also to create a mutation that would make it invincible: a cat vampire and cyborg.
Design process
To create this design, I used copyright-free images, the sources of which I have listed at the end of the post, as well as images created with Wombo to generate the immortal. In this case, I generated many images, as my intention was to have three from different angles of the face that resembled human features as closely as possible, as if showing the mutation they had undergone.
I developed the entire composition with Photoshop CS6.
First, I created the background with an image of a blackboard with white marks, which I duplicated and gave more contrast and brightness. On top of that image, I placed one of a path with dry trees on either side, giving the impression of a dead land. I arranged it in two layers with focal light and soft light blends.
Then, on top of that, I placed an image that looks like blood, arranged it in two layers and gave it different positions, and used a darker colour blend so that it would blend in with the background.
I placed the hourglass in three layers, in different positions and with a strong light blend, and on one side of the design I placed the woman who is the vampire's memory. I made two layers of her with darker and normal colour blends, the latter only for the eyes, and deleted the rest of the woman.
Then I started working on the three images I had generated with Wombo. I flipped the first one horizontally, deleted the background and placed it in two layers on the right side of the design with darker and normal colour blends, giving it more contrast and brightness.
I worked on the second image in four layers, two for the face and three for the cat. In the first case, the blends I used are lighter in colour and stronger in light. Then I selected the cat, copied and pasted it three times, generating the three layers, two next to the face with a linear overexposure blend, and the third I enlarged and placed to one side with the same blend as if it were a spirit.
I placed the third image, after deleting the background, on the left side of the design in two layers with focal and normal light blends, enhancing the contrast and brightness.
The animation is done completely in After Effects, working on the opacity of each layer and adding lights in the form of clouds for better contrast.

En un mundo donde todo se ha acabado, en donde los árboles ya no brotan ni flores aparecen aún vive un hombre que sobrevive a todos incluso a aquellos que fueron su familia, una familia ya olvidada por el paso del tiempo, cientos de años atrás. Sobrevive a las guerras, la destrucción que el ser humano se hace a sí mismo y a otros, sobrevive… incluso al mismo amor.
Un hombre que ha pasado por muchas transformaciones a lo largo de la humanidad pero que aún conversa los recuerdos de quien fue en su origen, todo lo recuerda mucho mejor que cualquier otro ser humano. A veces se pregunta si aún lo es o si la fusión con los felinos lo ha transformado al mundo animal. Ya no quería beber sangre de humanos, pero su interior lo llevaba a eso, por lo que encontró una forma después de una eternidad de volverse felino y así como ellos muchas vidas tener. Esta unión a su vez le desarrolló más los sentidos. Se volvió más misterioso, elegante y más hermoso. Pero en el camino seguía perdiendo a los otros y a veces los dañaba con ese instinto animal que llevaba dentro.
Una tercera mutación lo convirtió en lo que es hoy en una tierra desolada. Ya no necesita alimentarse porque parte del es un ciborg, una combinación impensable en su época de niño, pero ella quedó miles de años atrás. Aún espera la humanidad resurja de las cenizas y no ser el único en el vasto planeta y quizá tal vez verla de nuevo, aunque sea en otro cuerpo. Las almas unidas siempre se reconocen a pesar del tiempo y las mutaciones.
Saludos a toda la comunidad de Alien Art Hive. Hoy quiero participar nuevamente en el concurso que nos propone @ezuntimmy con el apoyo de la comunidad, en su segunda edición. Es interesante y motivador esta clase de concursos porque incentivan y motivan a los artistas a crear partiendo de un tema y además fomenta la interacción entre nosotros los artistas, fundamental para el crecimiento y mejora de la comunidad.
Por eso me uno a esta iniciativa, aportando mi creatividad y mis diseños. Mi inspiración en principio viene del tema entregado: Inmortal. A partir de allí no pude más que imaginar un vampiro, ya que me fascinan desde siempre. Pero escribí este breve relato, lo cual me inspiro a crear un vampiro especial, uno que estuviera a los felinos que como se dice tienen muchas vidas, pero también crear una mutación que lo vuelva invencible: un vampiro gato y ciborg.
Proceso del diseño
Para realizar este diseño utilicé imágenes sin derechos de autor de las cuales dejo las fuentes al final del post y también imágenes creadas con Wombo, para poder generar el inmortal. Y en este caso generé muchísimas imágenes ya que mi intensión era poder tener tres en distintos ángulos de rostro y que se parezcan lo más posibles en sus rasgos humanos, como mostrando la mutación sufrida.
Toda la composición la desarrollé con Photoshop CS6.
Primero cree el fondo con una imagen de una pizarra negra con marcas blancas a la cual dupliqué y di más contraste y brillo. Sobre esa imagen coloqué una de un sendero con árboles secos a los lados, dando la sensación de una tierra muerta. La dispuse en dos capas con fusiones de luz focal y luz suave.
Luego, sobre lo anterior, puse una imagen que se parece a la sangre, la dispuse en dos capas con y le di distintas posiciones y la fusión que usé es color más oscuro para que así se entremezcle con el fondo.
En tres capas puse al reloj de arena, en distintas posiciones y con fusión de luz fuerte y en uno de los lados del diseño coloqué a la mujer que es el recuerdo del vampiro. De ella hice dos capas con fusiones de color más oscuro y normal, ésta última sólo de los ojos, borré el resto de la mujer.
Posteriormente comencé a trabajar las tres imágenes que había generado con Wombo. La primera la volteé horizontalmente, borré el fondo y la coloqué en dos capas sobre el lado derecho del diseño con fusiones de color más oscuro y normal, dando más contraste y brillo.
Trabajé la segunda imagen en cuatro capas, dos para el rostro y tres para el felino. En el primer caso las fusiones que usé son color más claro y luz fuerte. Luego seleccioné el felino, copié y pegué tres veces generando las tres capas, dos junto al rostro con fusión de sobreexposición lineal y la tercera la agrandé y la coloqué a un lado con la misma fusión como si fuera un espíritu.
La tercera imagen la coloqué, previo borrado del fondo, en el lado izquierdo del diseño en dos capas con fusiones de luz focal y normal, realzando el contraste y el brillo.
La animación está realizada completamente en After Effects, trabajando la opacidad de cada capa y agregando luces en forma de nubes para un mejor contraste.
