One thing I love to do is combining mythology and magic in a modern and more real context.
During a midsummer late-night in the New York of the 80s a suburban road is completely empty from the noisy daytime traffic.
A distant street where you can see the lights but can't hear the sounds of the city, silence reigns inexorably.
A couple passing through stands in front of a young woman who blocks the passage.
This is certainly a weird event for the two, but they go on, thinking she just got a little drunk and that after a while she would move off the street.
As they advance with the car, the girl shows no sign of moving from there.
The couple then stops annoyed and starts criticizing the old-fashioned clothes the girl wears.
A bizarre situation that upsets the routine of the two lovers, a blanket of fog precedes the strange young woman.
Very interesting narrative. The pseudo modern folk tale. hahhaa
That could be a new genre🤯, also love the more traditional witches like the ones from the studio ghibli movies but seeing them casting spells among the city buildings... cooler😎

That is so true🤝, i absolutely have to re-watch pom poko these days, though in Italy they have the worst dubbing ever in terms of vocabulary😅
I might have to rewatch one tonight! ahaha Dubs are rarely ever great. Hahahha but i hate reading and missing the art.
