Obligatory "Hello" after a break from posting

Hello!
___

The rule of my past engagements with blogging seem to require that, proportional to the length of the break from posting, I must feverishly release present content to compensate. Mind you, this is a largely subconscious occurrence, perhaps displaying a human proclivity for desiring reconciliation where any perceived separation has occurred — especially with regards to anything personally valued.

It has been a busy winter on my end. As of late I have been largely focused on improving in video-editing while getting the basics of live-streaming under my belt. Most of this December, I have been working on a huge (at least for me) music video project that's a collaboration with @rusty-jernigan's 20-minute Max/MSP improvisation. With 4k footage at 60 fps, this has provided me ample opportunity to capture screenshots and edit them as stills. That is the origin of all the images that occupy this post — as well as the last poem I posted (I'm betting you will see many more of them in the days to come!)

I gave many of these stills as prints to my dad @ldp for Christmas, as well as to my sister and her husband. My plan with this project — entitled "Brain Cheat Codes — An Audiovisual Journey" is to premiere it on my 30th birthday, which is on December 31st. It will most likely be at 11 am Central Standard Time, and when I have a link to share where you can set a reminder, I will certainly share it here!

There's a lot that I could say here, yet perhaps it's wise to gradually ease back into the habit of writing and determine how well I can balance the many pursuits I hold dear. I am exceedingly grateful for the continued opportunity to learn and grow in manifold vectors — this is a privilege I diligently attempt to never take for granted.

.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas,
Happy Holidays,
and Wondrous New Year ahead!

.

you are getting old :P

I know 😢😭😿

How are you and your fur babies @tygertyger?

5 of the pooches died of old age last year, the rest is getting very old but still alive- Mooria being the oldest now at 14 - My health has gotten a lot worse but like my furkids I am still alive 😛 So any major life changes on your side ?

Greetings, @d-pend
I woke up today like the little boy who finds an unexpected present by his bedside (as they used to be given in my town, no Xmas tree). I wanted to thank you , on behalf of all my family, for your generosity and your friendship, despite the distance and the absence.
I wish you the best in this new project, of which I muy admit I know little, but which I will now look into it. In fact, with this new distant learning modality, I am obliged to learn some basic video editing tools to materialize some language teaching projects.
Hope you and your family are doing well and do better next year. Thank you so much for all. May 2021 bring good tidings. Happy new year!

You are very welcome my friend. I truly hope things will turn around for your country even when all seems nearly hopeless.

With regards to video content, I began getting more interested in it a couple years ago as I began to realize how overwhelmingly oriented towards visual data the average person is. Up until now, I would say I have invested more energy in auditory-based communication. I think the synergy between the two holds a lot of potential for increased human connection as well as seeming to be a catalyst for me personally to continue growing — video can often make one feel quite vulnerable.

Would love to see some language-related content from you should the opportunity arise. Cheers and all the best @hlezama!

These images coming alive to music may be an excited base. You seem to have built a fan base on youtube now. There are exciting things ahead for you.
