Hello Hiveans! Recently, I have put some thought towards my plan for releasing content of different kinds this year, and decided to work on some video versions of poems that are simple and created primarily to be listened to. They will be accompanied by somewhat minimal visuals that sync to the audio simply, and without the words appearing on-screen. Eventually I will create a playlist of these for people that enjoy listening to poems back-to-back.
I would certainly like to create other kinds of poetry videos, such as time-lapsed handwritten versions as well as ones accompanied by ambience/music and/or on-screen words. However, those represent a significantly greater time investment and presently I am shifting my approach to sharing content from immediately releasing as much as possible (what I've tended to do in the past) to scheduling things more regularly, spacing out content and planning more in advance. Therefore, it's likely I'll focus mainly on things I can create in a timely manner until I have enough "buffer" material to feel comfortable in this new rhythm.
With all that said, let me know what you think of this rendition of "To Be Infinity," a short verse poem written in early December 2020. The images and text of my original post are going to be added to this update post for your convenience. Thank you for taking the time to engage with my work and I'd love to hear from you in a comment either here or on YouTube (I always read all my comments even when I don't write a response!)

To Be Infinity

When will I truly command life
and seize upon the reins
directing form before my course
to make more smooth the way?
Let the perished lie:
may they mound and swell
that missteps are made padded
and sweet success, as well
is buoyed light and lithe.
May Forever gleam —
may future proper seem
to follow in the footsteps
of trail I blaze today.
When mind grows resolute
to leave the camp — away!
For now I must depart;
now, the only art
of living must be made:
by dint of my decision
to seize the noble reins.
Now, I life command;
come, and clasp my hand
still vital with the spark:
sojourn with me — and hark —
our wordless destiny
is calling with the voice
of this, our highest choice
to be Infinity.

I love the poem very much
but the second video is less distracting for me. That could be because I watched that video second, so it was my third time through the poem.
I liked this one from the first time I heard it on your youtube channel. Maybe you messed with the pronunciation of sojourn to fit the poem, but I pronounce it like soju.
I haven't heard the word "Hark!" in a long time.
Oh, where did I hear that word Hark?

I love your poetry, I always have. I wish I had the time and where withall to create videos of my poems and stories, but I don't seem to be able to squeeze in the time or come up with the energy after work. I love the beautiful art that you put in the videos as well. Thanks for sharing and you always give me something to aspire to.
