̈¨Photoshop is the tool of 1000 paths¨ that's what I thought when I had my first experiences with the program. I wanted to create, I wanted to transgress photography without breaking it; I wanted to touch that limit where it almost ceases to be photography, I wanted to draw and I wanted the drawing to be with photography.
Photoshop es la herramienta de los 1000 caminos ̈ eso fue lo que pensé cuando tuve mis primeras experiencias con el programa. Quería crear, quería transgredir la fotografía sin romperla; que tocara ese límite donde casi deja de ser fotografía, quería dibujar y que el dibujo fuese con la fotografía.
From there these few experiments with it were born, what I did was to make the drawings and photograph or scan them to try to illustrate them a little with the basic knowledge I had at that time. I used filters that were aggressive with how the characters and the environment looked to give a more aggressive touch to the whole image and thus to couple both a little better.
De allí nacieron estos pocos experimentos con ello, lo que hacía era realizar los dibujos y fotografiarlos o escanearlos para tratar de ilustrarlos un poco con el conocimiento básico que tenía para aquel entonces. Usaba filtros que fuesen agresivos con cómo se veían los personajes y el ambiente para darle un toque más agresivo a toda la imagen y así acoplar un poco mejor ambos.
These images were tests, they helped me to practice the program, to see my limits with it, to motivate me to make different image treatments, to fall in love with what I was doing and to think beyond photography as a consequence of reality. I hope you like it.
Estas imágenes fueron pruebas, me ayudaron a practicar el programa, ver mis límites con el, motivarme a realizar tratados de imagen diferentes, enamorarme de lo que hacía y pensar más allá de la fotografía como consecuencia de la realidad. Espero que les guste.
