Today I am going to tell you about a artwork that has been very special for me. It is called "Arida Florece". It is a unique edition NFT that was sold :) The sale of this artwork has made me very happy and not only for the fact that I received money for it, the reason for my happiness goes a little further.
If you have been following my growth as an artist, you will notice that my recent works have "something" different, it is not by chance! These changes respond to a very personal process of introspection and search. Today I feel much more identified with what I paint, draw and create. My works are more heartfelt, more of my guts. That is why receiving an award for one of these new works ("The Water Cycle" described in the previous post) or that these new creations are collected by people I admire and connect with the feeling they transmit, is for me a sign of: "Keep going, keep being you, believe in yourself".
It is beautiful to achieve this level of connection with other people, to connect through art, feeling, experience, daily sharing, sharing our processes, growth, what we are, what makes us vulnerable and at the same time so authentic.
I have no words to express my gratitude. Life has given me the opportunity to do what I love, so that others can appreciate it and also make a living from it.
I am going to tell you the inspiration behind the work "Arida Florece". To do this I will first share with you the description of it in its technical file, I hope you will connect with its message:
"No matter where you are, you can bloom right where you are.
No matter what others say, be who you are meant to be.
Don't let circumstances, no matter how arid, dry you up and prevent you from blossoming.
There is life sprouting in you, let it out and spread everything around you. "
This work is a proclamation to the self, it invites you to be authentic, to be yourself and let out all the good you have to give.
After reading this description and seeing the image, can you see the metaphorical relationship? 😊
This artwork shows a character in the middle of an Arid setting, where there is not much plant life. However, she being there is able to bloom, you see it is her hair, two beautiful roses that emerge from her being, because they do not need anything else; in her being there is what is necessary for life to emerge, there is water and moving fish, There is life!!!. You can see the character looking to the side, she is looking at the others who talk, comment, give their opinion; but she still blooms and impregnates everything around her with her magic.
Now I'll share with you a bit of the process. This is a work made digitally, I work with Photoshop. I usually work with layers, it allows me to modify or test without having to alter the whole drawing.
In fact I could test if I preferred the character dressed or unclothed :D as well as try with different colors of background and dress. That's one of the things I like the most about digital tools. They make it easy to experiment :)

Hoy te voy a hablar de una obra que ha sido muy especial para mí. Se llama “Árida Florece”. Es un NFT de edición única que fue vendido :) La venta de esta obra me ha hecho muy feliz y no sólo por el hecho de haber recibido dinero por ella, la razón de mi felicidad va un poco más allá.
Si has seguido mi crecimiento como artista, notarás que mis obras recientes tienen "algo" diferente ¡No es casualidad! Estos cambios responden a un proceso muy personal, de introspección y de búsqueda. Hoy día me siento mucho más identificada con lo que pinto, dibujo y creo. Mis obras son más sentidas, más de mis entrañas. Es por ello, que recibir un premio por una de estas nuevas obras (“El Ciclo del Agua” descrita en el post anterior) o que estas nuevas creaciones sean coleccionadas por personas que admiro y conectan con el sentimiento que estas transmiten, es para mí una señal de: "Sigue adelante, sigue siendo tú, cree en tí".
Es hermoso lograr este nivel de conexión con otras personas, conectar a través del arte, del sentimiento, de la experiencia, del compartir diario, de compartir nuestros procesos, crecimiento, lo que somos, aquello que nos hace vulnerables y a la vez tan auténticos.
No tengo palabras para expresar mi agradecimiento. La vida me ha brindado la oportunidad de hacer aquello que amo, que otros puedan apreciarlo y además, vivir de ello.
Te voy a contar la inspiración detrás de la obra “Árida Florece”. Para ello te comparto primeramente la descripción de la misma en su ficha técnica, espero conectes con su mensaje:
“No importa el lugar en dónde te encuentres, puedes florecer allí justo en dónde estés.
No importa lo que otros digan, sé quién debas ser.
No dejes que las circunstancias por muy áridas que sean, te sequen e impidan florecer.
Hay vida brotando en tí, déjala salir y contagia todo a tu alrededor. “
Esta obra es una proclama al ser, te invita a ser auténtico, a ser tú mismo y dejar aflorar todo lo bueno que tienes para dar.
Luego de leer esta descripción y ver la imagen, ¿Puedes ver la relación metafórica? 😊
Esta obra muestra a un personaje en medio de un escenario Árido, en donde no hay mucha vida vegetal. Sin embargo, ella estando allí es capaz de florecer, lo ves es sus cabellos, dos rosas hermosas que surgen de su ser, pues no necesitan nada más; en su ser hay lo necesario para que la vida surja, hay agua y peces en movimiento, ¡Hay vida!. Puedes ver al personaje mirando a un lado, ella está viendo a los demás que hablan, comentan, opinan; pero ella aun así florece e impregnará todo a su alrededor con su magia.
Ahora te comparto un poco del proceso. Esta es una obra hecha digitalmente, trabajo con el programa Photoshop. Acostumbro trabajar por capas, me permite modificar o hacer pruebas sin necesidad de alterar todo el dibujo.
De hecho pude probar si prefería al personaje vestido o sin ropa :D al igual que probar con diferentes colores de fondo y vestido. Es una de las cosas que más me gusta de las herramientas digitales. Te brindan facilidad para experimentar :)

Muchas gracias Dany :) antes era muy difícil para mi escoger colores que funcionaran. Lo hacía muy al azar y nunca quedaba del todo conforme. Luego al comprender más sobre teoría del color y como funcionan juntos, escojo mi paleta de colores previamente, aunque puede cambiar en el camino; pero ya parte de una preconcepción. Y bueno, las rosas debian ser color rosa :D muchas gracias por tu comentario, lo aprecio mucho :)
