Hello, my alien friends! I hope you are all doing well. I want to share with you a painting I've completed. At this point in my life, I consider it the most artistically committed work I've ever done. It's my point of no return, as I've expressed many things through it, and I've realized that I can't give up on art because it's part of my life and my being. The painting I created is called "Legion, Because We Are Many." This phrase was uttered by a man tormented by demonic possession, and it was his response to Master Jesus when he asked him his name. I found it curious; beyond the religious and theological explanations, I've taken it as a metaphor for a stage of my life. The predominant colors are warm and cool, equally present, but in the background of the painting, when they come together, they disappear into darkness. From that darkness, infernal faces emerge, representing somber thoughts. I'll briefly tell you about my experience.
Hola que tal amigos aliens, espero que se encuentren muy bien, quiero compartir con ustedes una pintura que he realizado. Hasta estas alturas de mi vida, considero que es el trabajo más comprometido con el arte que he realizado, es mi punto de no retorno, ya que he expresado muchas cosas a través de él y he comprendido que no puedo renunciar al arte porque es parte de mi vida y de mi ser. La pintura que he realizado la he llamado "Legión, porque somos muchos", esta frase la dijo un hombre que estaba atormentado bajo una posesión demoníaca, y fue su respuesta al maestro Jesús, cuando este le preguntó cual era su nombre. Me pareció un hecho curioso, más allá de las explicaciones religiosas y teológicas, yo lo he tomado como una metáfora sobre una etapa de mi vida. Los colores predominantes son los cálidos y fríos, en igualdad de condiciones, pero que en el fondo del cuadro, cuando se unen se pierden en la oscuridad, de esa oscuridad emergen rostros infernales que representa pensamientos sombríos. Aquí les comentaré brevemente mi experiencia.

I began by painting with cool colors. I didn't use a brush here; I used the blade of a knife as a spatula to apply the paint to the canvas. My goal was to achieve a rough and chaotic finish at the beginning of the painting. Although the color blue always signifies peace and tranquility, I wanted it to be shrouded in chaos and violence, and what better instrument than a knife?
Comencé por pintar con los colores fríos, aquí no utilicé ningún pincel, utilice la hoja de una cuchilla como espátula para poner la pintura encima del lienzo. Mi objetivo era lograr un acabado accidentado y caótico del inicio de la pintura, aunque el color azul siempre significa paz y tranquilidad, quería que estuviera envuelto en caos y violencia, y qué mejor instrumento que una cuchilla.

Next, I continue painting with the knife. Here you can see the contrast of the blue, alternating between light and dark. Toward the top of the painting, I begin using a brush to blend. I want the calm to be felt only at the top, while the chaos simmers on the surface.
Seguidamente sigo pintando con la cuchilla, aquí pueden ver el contraste que tiene el color azul, alternando entre luces y sombras. Hacia la parte superior del cuadro comienzo a usar pincel para difuminar, quiero que se sienta la calma solo en la parte superior mientras que el caos se cocina en la superficie.

The warmer side is the same, except I add more darkness at the base, and through the euphoria, I draw faster and more mercilessly, as if I were cutting through the fabric with a blade and could feel the pain of the fake skin. You can see how, in the collision of both universes, warm and cold, the shadow of a specter emerges.
En la parte cálida es igual, solo que en la base agrego mas oscuridad, y a través de la euforia el trazo lo hago más rápido y sin piedad, como si estuviera atravesando la tela con la cuchilla y pudiera sentir el dolor de la piel falsa. Pueden ver, como en el choque de ambas universos, cálidos y frío emerge la sombra de un espectro.

Through Pareidolia, I use this part of the imagination to bring faces to life from the clash of emotions. Each face appears as the blade hits the canvas. Psychologist Carl Jung said we all have a shadow and that our purpose should be to accept our dark side and integrate it to become whole. However, here the shadow holds the power; there is no peace, no balance, only violence.
A través de la Pareidolia, utilizo esta parte de la imaginación para hacer emerger rostros del choque de emociones. Cada rostro va apaeciendo al estrellar la hoja de la cuchilla con el lienzo, el psicólogo Carl Jung decía que todos teníamos una sombra y que nuestro propósito debería ser aceptar nuestro lado oscuro e integrarlo para ser completos. Sin embargo aquí la sombra tiene el poder, no hay paz, no hay equilibrio, soloo hay violencia.
What did you think? It's my first work, as I said before, of commitment to art. It's my baptism, my point of no return. From here on, there are no regrets for me. This is how I conceive art: a lot of power and emotion. It doesn't have to be a faithful copy of reality; it can also be the most twisted part of our soul. If there's a reconciliation with the dark side, it should be to show it as it is. I accept failure and defeat as part of learning and an opportunity to begin anew. This work will soon be entered into an art competition, and I hope it's well received. For now, I share it with you and thank you for your attention and the time you've invested in viewing it. Qué les ha parecido? es mi primera obra como dije antes, de compromiso con el arte, es mi bautizo, mi punto de no retorno, desde aquí no hay arrepentimientos para mi. Así es como concibo el arte, mucha fuerza y emoción, no tiene que ser una copia fiel de la realidad, puede ser tambien lo más retorcido de nuestra alma. Si hay una reconciliación con el lado oscuro, debe ser para mostrarlo tal cual es, acepto el fracaso y las derrotas como parte del aprendizaje y una oportunidad para comenzar de nuevo. Esta obra pronto participará en un concurso de arte y espero que sea bien acpetada. Por ahora la comparto con ustedes y agradezco la atención y el tiempo invertido para observarla, me despido hasta pronto.
