Finally is out, the book that reveals the secrets of Shroomobs!!!
Preface
This book was written by the historians of the Academy of Fungai, the highest and oldest cultural institution of planet Fungai. Hidden away in the library there are ancient volumes from a billion earth-years ago, when Shmobs just started to record historical, mythological, scientific and other cultural facts.
In a not-so-distant past, a handful of scholars who could read the ancient scriptures decided to compose the Book of Shmob, an encyclopedia of 10.000 volumes that collected the most relevant facts of Fungai history and culture.
Recently the Book of Shmob has been translated into one of the human languages (apparently the most popular language on Earth at the moment), because we felt it was time that our human friends knew about the marvels of our culture.
Although, we wouldn’t want them to find our planet, because humans are unpredictable and some humans find us very delicious. For this reason, Shmobs have kept their existence a secret from humans, until now...
Chapter one - The beginning
The history of Shroomobs began a long long time ago. There are ancient scriptures suggesting organisms from planet Fungai may have played a role in oxygenating the Earth 's atmosphere over 600 million years ago, right after they made their first contact with this planet. This was the beginning of the many missions that would follow.
The planet Fungai, is a beautiful and wild land, full of mysterious creatures, where fungi and mushrooms are the most advanced and complex beings, like humans on Earth.
Shmobs fell in love with Earth from their first contact, and after millions of years they are still very fond of it. From time to time they used to drop by, to enjoy nature and the creatures that live in it, and also to keep in touch with the Shmob colonies that stayed behind from the previous missions. At the beginning the missions were mostly just for holiday purposes, but then, around 3 million years ago one of the Earth's species started creating and using tools, just like Shroomobs did at the beginning of their time, and this fascinated the Shmobs! Since then, Shmobs have been interfering with human lives, sometimes out of curiosity and sometimes just to help them out. Shmobs even came up with a name for these smart and funny looking giants, they called them Handikuda, which means “ginormous walking talking meat sticks” in Shmob language.
The interest in Handikudas increased the number of missions, and are now also joined by scientists and other Handikuda lovers.
This is our planet!!
