Bertrol gobson fanart for splinterlands

in Alien Art Hive5 months ago

Hi guys!

For this week, I made Bertrol Gobson, using the reference image. I saw this when I was randomly scrolling Pinterest. Here is the reference.

Let's proceed with the procedure.

Procedure

For the first step, I made the outline of the character in four steps: first, I drew his face, then his entire body, then I boldly and neatly outlined the whole outline of this character. I kept this character outline pose the same as the reference image.

Now I start coloring, i choose these colors and add all the base colors according to the original character of Splinterlands cards.

I chose green for his body, brown with gray for the axe he is holding, and yellow in both dark and light shades for his helmet, waist, and leg coverings. The skirt-like dress is colored in a brownish shade of orange, although I'm not exactly sure what that color is called. Finally, his shoes are chocolate brown.

Then I add details which meant making his muscular body, e.g, chest, legs, arms. For this, I use the green in a lighter tone than his body. I also shade his axe. Then moved towards his dress, coloring it differently and adding details to it. Lastly, I do his shoes, and finally, it is complete.

In the last step, I made his background well-established background which I made inspired by the reference image, as he is located inside the fully snow-filled land, having tiny details I can't make as professional as him in the reference. Also, I made some changes according to my character.

Here is the final look.

Thanks for reaching out in the end.
