Fantastic work as usual! I really like the way you used the hourglass over the top of the eye, and I can see the progression in your skill of compositing and composition since the last piece of yours that I commented on, well done!
I am really captivated by the notion of escaping time. We can waste it so eagerly and often, but for me, the only time I think that I have truly operated outside of time itself was when I had my wisdom teeth on the left hand side of my face removed under general anaesthetic.
It was the first surgery that I had - and they did tell me that I would have no impression of time passing at all, that I would fall asleep, and that I would then wake up, without the perception of the time in between, that it would just be lost, and that there would be pain.
And let me tell you, it was exactly that - I remember waking up and the nurse smiling, and just being filled with a sense of euphoria, of surviving, of the fact that time went on "without me", and it felt like a bit of a "little death", because I wanted to just hug everyone that I saw.
It made me feel more comfortable about that never ending, ticking clock that leads to all of us dying one day.
If I want to waste time, I doomscroll hive a lot of the time, and hope that I can find pieces of work like this to fill my time and trigger memories I didn't know that I had anymore!
Hello @holoz0r. I appreciate your visit and insight into the concept of time. Like you, going into back surgery, I fretted until anesthesia was administered. I wondered whether I would feel any sensation, hear the operating team, or just still be conscious enough to worry about whether I would survive. None of that occurred. However, when I had my foot surgery, a local anesthesia was given, and I felt a cutting sensation. The feeling was weird as though I could feel the tool sawing through bone but couldn't respond.
Thanks so much for your lovely compliment for my current project. You are a constant supporter, and I'm pleased the "time" theme caught your eye. Take care and have a nice rest of your week.

Not a problem, I am looking forward to your next piece!
