Medusa is a mythical creature from Greek mythology. She had snakes for hair and anyone who looked into her eyes would turn into stone. Medusa was once a beautiful woman, but she was cursed by the goddess Athena. The hero Perseus was tasked with slaying her. With the help of Athena and other gods, Perseus managed to defeat Medusa by using a mirrored shield to avoid looking directly at her. He then cut off her head, which still had the power to turn people to stone. Medusa's head was later used as a weapon by Perseus.🐍
