Hello everyone, I'm Humansleep. This time I want to post my work again in the Alien Art Hive community. And here I will also share a work process whether it's drawing or sketching that I will later do as an effort to be seen and appreciated.
Police officers who are afraid of a song lyric, they intimidate and try to silence a work of art.
The more the work of art is banned, the louder it will become and multiply.
A recent viral case on social media that occurred on February 20, 2025, was a case of silencing a song by police officers who were afraid of a song lyric created by a punk music group from Purbalingga consisting of two members, named “SUKATANI” and their song entitled “BAYAR BAYAR BAYAR”. The song contains a sharp criticism aimed directly at the police and the police officers who misbehave.
And not only silencing their work, the police officers also intimidated the SUKATANI band personnel, namely Alectroguy (guitarist) and Twisted Angel (vocalist). I don't know what kind of intimidation was carried out by the police officers against the SUKATANI band personnel, so they had to withdraw their song.
And not only that, there was an admission conveyed by SUKATANI through an upload on their Instagram account, namely on Saturday March 1, 2025, that they had received “Pressure and intimidation from the police continue to get, until finally the clarification video for the song entitled Bayar Bayar Bayar we uploaded through social media,” This unpleasant event made them suffer losses. “The incident made us experience various material and non-material losses,” he said. They have received pressure and intimidation by police officers since July 2024.
Sukatani also reported their current condition. They admitted that they are currently in good condition. “I want to inform you that we are in good condition, but we are still in the recovery process after the multiple incidents that we have faced since July 2024,” he said. Before the silencing of a song, a similar case that was still in the realm of artwork had also occurred, namely a case of banning artwork belonging to an artist named “Yos Suprapto”, and another case, namely the prohibition of a theater performance at the Indonesian Institute of Arts and Culture (ISBI).
The artwork itself is a medium for expressing what the creator feels, and the creator of the artwork sometimes does not care whether the message he conveys is conveyed or not. Because the artwork itself is a way of freedom of expression for the creator, and when the artwork is prohibited and restricted, it will become louder and multiply.
I don't know what's in the brains of the bigwigs and rulers out there, from those who are afraid of paintings to those who are afraid of a song lyric. Maybe they are afraid of the truth and they want to cover up the truth in any way. Like a song lyric that is true in fact, namely a song entitled “BAYAR BAYAR BAYAR” by the SUKATANI Band which contains sharp criticism of the police apparatus.

And that's the lyrics of a song “BAYAR BAYAR BAYAR” contains about the facts that occur, and from the lyrics is a sharp criticism aimed directly at the police apparatus when having problems or dealing with them, the institution of the police apparatus which contains morons and officials in it who are thirsty for power and money, and they also like to make up stories that do not exist, and make false reports when they do not get satisfaction for them in the form of money. And the point is that when dealing with anything that involves them, they will side with those who have power and money.
And these police officers have told the media that they are anti-criticism, but what proof is there, nothing. And when they are criticized, whether openly or not, these bastard police institutions still do not accept criticism, and instead retaliate by silencing, pressuring and intimidating those who criticize them, whether they are amateur painters or professional artists, songwriters, content creators, ordinary people, and people who are not in line with them, and people who are impossible for them to silence will also be affected, they will always find any way to be able to silence them, whatever it takes so that they can still silence the truth.

This is a visual illustration of an artwork that I created to express my dislike for the police officers who always like to put pressure and intimidate people who are guilty or innocent, they always burden and prolong problems that should be easily resolved. but with pests like them it will even be very difficult to solve.
