Hi, dear friends, Hivers!
Today I'm going to tell you about one of the games for which I made the graphics.
The game is called Ocean Planet. I think there are already a lot of articles about the mechanics of the game and the gameplay itself on Hive Blog, but I'll tell you anyway, how I started to make graphics for the game, and if I find the first my sketches on paper, also will share them with you little later. Initially, the game Ocean Planet was conceived as a genre Diesel Punk Post Apocalyptic RPG with elements of strategy and turn-based battles.
A lot of different interactions and game mechanics were conceived. The essence of the game was built on the Play-to-Earn scheme, that is, players besides getting pleasure from the game, could also earn.
And so, about the plot).

The action of the game takes place in a distant year, I do not remember exactly in which year, two thousand two hundred.
The apocalypse happened on the Earth, when nuclear weapons were used, after World War 3.
Almost the whole Earth was covered with snow, ice and freezing temperatures.
Not to mention that, there were not many living beings left on Earth. And those who survived struggled for existence, fighting with each other,
with bandit raiders, mutants (and yes, I'm not wrong, saying that, after the global climate change, new species of creatures appeared here, which were not averse to taste humans), and, of course, with the severest frost.
Life continued either only in remote parts of the ocean, where there were underwater hot geysers, or near the surviving islands on which volcanoes were erupting.
In general, a complete terror.
But friends, I hasten to please you, or upset)
In fact, according to the design document, this whole Post Apocalyptic world should not look terrible, but in bright colors, in comic style, so that the players can play with pleasure and not stressed after losing their ship, and not crying after killing another monster).
At the beginning of the game each player lives in his own small town on the water. Over time, with gaining some necessary gaming experience, the player will be able to organize his town, install various buildings, such as: a ship garage, a snack bar for recovering strength and energy of the game character, a barbershop for changing his appearance and even small factories for the recycling ♻️ of garbage and the production of weapons.
The gameplay itself is based on the lifting from the seabed various items, garbage, spare parts, etc. from the past life (mining) and the selling these things raised from the bottom of the post-apocalyptic Ocean. You can craft more valuable objects and spare parts to improve your ship from simple items collected from the seabed. The player can improve his ship, the better it is, the more garbage and items can be raised from the seabed and the less wear and tear of ship parts. (Yes, the equipment here also wears out, and it needs to be serviced in a timely manner, recharge batteries, fill fuel tanks).
Also, the Battle Arena is gradually appearing in the game, where players can fight and improve their battleships, or complete missions by playing against the computer.
The game has a map of the world, which presents a variety of locations for mining things, fighting raiders and attacking other players.
The player communicates with non-player characters in his town and receives peculiar quests from them, recieving a reward for completing them (for example, collect all the necessary parts to assemble a motorcycle for Max the barman).

The following are the game concepts. This is the concept of the player's town with some buildings, the concepts of some locations for mining and the concept of one of the ships, the concept of the character.
