Welcome everyone, I hope you are well, today I want to share with you a digital art to participate in this week's art contest in Splinterlands. This time, I have been inspired by a card called Coastal Nymph, belonging to the Water Splinter from the Rift collection. Let me tell you a part of the story of this card:
Bienvenidos a todos, espero se encuentren bien, el dia de hoy les quiero compartir con ustedes un arte en digital para participar en el concurso de arte de esta semana en Splinterlands. En esta ocasión, me he inspirado en una carta llamada Coastal Nymph, perteneciente al Splinter de Agua de la colección Rift. Permítanme contarle una parte de la historia de esta carta:
"Coastal nymphs inhabit the shores of Lemell's islands. They are an agitated and ill-tempered splinter of nymphs, quick to anger and rise to a fight. They travel across the archipelagos on great rafts of driftwood, scavenging from the seabed and selling their finds to local villages.
One day, a group of coastal nymphs discovered the flooded remains of an old laboratory. Within it, they found remnants of lost tech. Some of it was even salvageable. One such item was a harpoon crafted from the elemental mana of water. While deadly, it was also imprecise, often missing its target and hitting something else entirely. Whatever it hit, however, would fall foul of the harpoon's magic, which caused an affliction with a lasting effect.
When the Riftwatchers arrived on Lemell and offered a place in their ranks, these coastal nymphs eagerly joined, happy for the opportunity to use the Chaos Legion as target practice."
"Las ninfas costeras habitan las costas de las islas de Lemell. Son un grupo de ninfas agitadas y de mal carácter, que se enfadan rápidamente y se lanzan a la pelea. Viajan por los archipiélagos en grandes balsas de madera a la deriva, buscando restos del fondo marino y vendiendo sus hallazgos a las aldeas locales.
Un día, un grupo de ninfas costeras descubrió los restos inundados de un antiguo laboratorio. En su interior encontraron restos de tecnología perdida. Algunos de ellos incluso se podían recuperar. Uno de ellos era un arpón fabricado con el maná elemental del agua. Aunque era letal, también era impreciso, ya que a menudo no alcanzaba su objetivo y golpeaba algo completamente distinto. Sin embargo, todo lo que golpeaba caía en la trampa de la magia del arpón, lo que causaba una aflicción con un efecto duradero.

To make this illustration, I focused on a certain part of the body, using a style that I have been doing for some time to continue experimenting in the art world. I started my process looking for a reference that would serve as a guide to capture what I had in mind for the main character of this post. I found a reference image that met the main characteristics I was looking for. Inspired by the story of the letter, I managed to finish the drawing in about 8 hours. Below, I will show you several images of the process so you can appreciate each step.
Para hacer esta ilustracion, me enfoqué en cierta parte del cuerpo, usando un estilo que he estado haciendo hace tiempo para seguir experimentando en el mundo del arte. Comencé mi proceso buscando una referencia que me sirviera de guía para plasmar lo que tenía en mente para el personaje principal de este post. Encontré una imagen de referencia que cumplía con las características principales que estaba buscando. Inspirándome en la historia de la carta, logré culminar el dibujo en aproximadamente 8 horas. A continuación, les mostraré varias imágenes del proceso para que puedan apreciar cada paso.
Process
In the sketching phase, I started by drawing several guide lines to get a similarity with the image I found on the Pinterest platform. Then I moved on to the coloring stage, using the initial colors of the character.
En la fase del boceto, inicie trazando varias líneas guía para conseguir una similitud con la imagen que encontré en la plataforma de Pinterest. Luego pasé a la etapa del coloreado, utilizando los colores iniciales del personaje.
