Hi friends, yesterday I decided to do a bit of catharsis again by transforming my photographs digitally. I invested all the time of a very hot afternoon doing this, because trying to go out on the streets either to take pictures or anything else with 40°C and a sun that seems to be able to burn anything, is not something I would want to do... So I set about creating on my PC these works to share here on #Hive!... ;)
Hola amigos, ayer decidí volver a hacer un poco de catarsis transformando mis fotografías digitalmente. Esta vez invertí todo el tiempo de una muy calurosa tarde haciendo esto, pues intentar salir a las calles ya sea a hacer fotos o cualquier otra cosa con 40°C y un sol que parece poder quemar cualquier cosa, no es algo que deseara hacer... ¡Así que me dediqué a crear en mi PC estos trabajos para compartir aquí en #Hive!... ;)

This happens this way: Always, when I'm wandering through the streets taking pictures, I keep in mind to capture some particular details which outstand for texture, for colour, for visual complexity and for lines. I have in my head that this kind of photos will be very good in the future to experiment with digital transformations on them in order to get some abstract images which I like a lot...
Esto sucede así: Siempre, cuando voy deambulando por las calles haciendo fotos, tengo presente captar algunos detalles particulares que resalten por su textura, por su color, por su complejidad visual y por sus lineas. Tengo en mi cabeza que este tipo de fotos serán a futuro muy buenas para experimentar haciendo transformaciones digitales en ellas y así logar algunas imágenes abstractas las cuales me gustan mucho...

When I switch to making this kind of digital transformations in monochrome format, I realise how important the choice of a suitable base photo is from the first moment to then work on it. Here, when the colour disappears, the original shapes and textures take on additional relevance.
Cuando paso a hacer este tipo de transformaciones digitales en formato monocromático, me percato de cuan importante es la escogencia desde el principio de una foto base adecuada para después trabajar sobre esta. Aquí, cuando el color desaparece, las formas y las texturas originales cobran relevancia adicional.

LOOK AT THE TRANSFORMATION PROCESS

My tools for this are very basic and I like to say that I do a "digitally handcrafted" process, starting from my RAW format photos, processed with Adobe Camera RAW, and then applying various transformation techniques in image editors such as Photoshop, PhotoScape and even Paint.
Mis herramientas para esto son muy básicas y me gusta decir que hago un proceso "digitalmente artesanal" partiendo de mis fotos caturadas en formato RAW y procesadas con Adobe Camera RAW, para luego aplicar diversas técnicas de transformación en editores de imagen como Photoshop, PhotoScape e incluso Paint.

I don't have a specific method to do this, I find that each photo requires the use of specific tools to be transformed. So I tend to go anarchically between blender brushes, distortion filters, cropping, rotations and vignettes...
No tengo un método específico para hacer esto, me parece que cada foto requiere el uso de herramientas puntuales para ser transformada. Así que suelo ir anarquicamente entre brochas de licuado, filtros de distorsión, recortes, rotaciones y viñetas...

I tend to jump wildly between image editors while doing this. I also make a habit of creating different versions of each image and then layering them on top of each other as layers and managing the transparency between them until I get results I like.
Suelo saltar alocadamente entre editores de imagen mientras hago esto. También acostumbro a crear diferentes versiones de cada imagen y luego superponerlas unas sobre otras como capas y gestionando la transparencia entre ellas hasta lograr resultados que me gusten.

Que hermoso trabajo, el arte abstracto es algo muy llamativo.
Aunque no se casi nada de fotografía me gusta admirar estos trabajos.
Y si por aquí el calor ha estado intenso también.

Este tipo de transformaciones son una especie de catarsis, pero en realidad a mi también me encanta mirar como quedan las fotos después de ser trabajadas de esta manera... Aquí son las 10 AM y ya estamos a 35°C!... Esto va para rato, toca aguantar! ;)
