I often wonder what type of nature exists in the expanse of the universe? If so, what type of nature or ecosystems might survive there? Since the universe itself is considered part of nature, does other life exist in the outer realms and beyond? I'd like to think that nature as we know it is only one type that may exist. This concept will never be known because of the vastness of the universe and the distance between other galaxies.
If life does exist in other galaxies, it's not known but plausible that a natural ecosystem could also exist, perhaps not in the life forms we knows and understand.
For my current mixed media project in my Grappling With Nature series, I wanted to step back for a moment to dwell on nature that is unfamiliar to to planet Earth.
Below are my steps in which I used four diffusion images. Taking elements from each enabled me to combine an alien look and feel, especially the marks on the female's face. Substituting the alien eye for one of hers gave a chilling effect.
Other images are free-sourced that combined to create a universe aura. Finally, I included two pure fractals that I created in the advanced fractal rendering program, Apophysis 7X. I decided to include one of the fractals that resembles a spider since I'm dealing with nature.

I utilized Canva, my design program, to blend the different type images. I leave with you my procedures which began with a blank, white canvas. I then add layers of elements that includes tools to remove backgrounds, resize, filter, duplicate, and reposition items as required. Perhaps of all the tools, the ability to detach backgrounds from the images is one of the crucial steps to the blending process.
To change the appearance of the human female, the eye and marks on the face proved useful. She's surrounded by our planet's nature suggesting her own origins could contain the same.

Wow, the natural environment of Avatar is awesome. I love how the inhabitants are one with their nature, both appreciating it and respecting its right to life, even the animals. Only kill when necessary for survival. At night the flowers bloom and everything lights up in wonder. Those visuals will never be duplicated. I love the first movie and watch it whenever it shows.

We might find out what is out there. Some people believe 31/Atlas and the other one are spaceships, I do not, but it would be interesting if they are.
Yes, it would definitely be interesting @myjob among other things if 31/Atlas turned out to be more than just a comet as scientists predict. The unknown always provides wild speculation. There are some who will continue to believe 31/Atlas is an alien vessel no matter if it's proven otherwise the closer it comes to Earth.
