そこを歩いていくのはこんななように思えた。
何せ真っ暗である。
しかし、戻ろうという気には、なれなかった。
とりあえず、真っ暗な先を見つめて立っていた。
何も見えるはずがない。
しかし、踏み出すのも怖くて、ただじっと先を見つめている。
じっと見つめていると、なにやら、色が見えてくる。
最初は、朱色だった。
次に黄色、青。
目の錯覚のようにも思えたが、とにかく、その色に向かって歩き出した。
It seemed like such a strange thing to walk there.
After all, it was pitch-dark.
However, I had no desire to go back.
For the time being, I stood there staring at the pitch dark ahead.
It was impossible to see anything.
But I was afraid to step out, so I just stood there staring ahead.
As I stared, I could see some kind of color.
At first, it was vermilion.
Then yellow, then blue.
It seemed like an optical illusion, but anyway, I started walking toward that color.
